I had been messing around with a new course. This one is completely based on a RL course that I have played 100's of times, and was using the actual course yardage book, and memory.
During the PS4 outage, yesterday I completely immersed myself in the design project.
My dog was totally honked off that she did not get any attention as I was totally focused.
Happy to say the project is almost 90% completed. And plan to have the heavy lifting done tonight.
Living in South Florida does have some advantages, as I plan to play a round on the course tomorrow morning.
After the round I will complete the final sculpting of the greens and planting, and hope to have a finished product ready to publish and submit by Monday.
So far during my play testing, it seems pretty true to life.
Since I don't have pictures, kinda pointless to place in works in progress, but upon completion, will post under "Course Discovery".

Mitch, didn't have any trouble using the offline components. Things like GNCC and playing the "Offical Courses" worked fine, but couldn't do anything that required a connection, like tours and tournaments, or playing others created courses.
Did however notice that when in Course Creator, it would crash more often than before.

I could play some courses, apparently it caches the last 100 & official. Only tried 2 or 3, & they were fine

Or any game for that matter..every time they go down, hack or maintenance, I can't open the game, even offline.

Not being online should not stop you playing offline!

Did you download the game off ps4 or did you purchase the actual disc? I think if you had the disc you could play, but if it's a downloaded game then the servers can't access your account to access the game. This coming from an XB1 owner so could be totally wrong here.

TGC is a downloaded game... And no issues with that!

You are probably getting the same problems I was having.
You need to go to your settings on your PS4 and then go to PSN. Click on that then you will see - Activate PS4 as your primary console. Click that then you should be able to play any game offline.
My original PS4 was faulty, so they sent me a new one. I didn't realize I had to deactivate my old one as my primary console, before I could activate my new one. I have only did that today and now I can play all my games when PSN is down.
Which by the way it is again right now! again. Sony are very poor, they have only just got back online today and now they are back down.

Nope, still down. My physical games work just not digital. Can't even open, can't login. Other people have same problems so I expect whatever Sony fixed it wasn't for the masses..
Btw, I can't deactivate my system because they only let you do that once every 6 months and I recently did it. Oh well..

Just fyi, my PS4 has been working all day. Wonder why just some people seem to be having issues? If the servers were being hacked you'd think we'd all be shut out.
