Playing my 4 rounds at the Lake Of Bays Classic and as each round passed the more I got the glitch where when I go to swing nothing happens.
Last round was virtually every shot.
Whilst this puts me off Driving it makes shorter shots much harder not doing if your club is going to move back.
Is this a known problem with the game or just course specific ?
Thanks for any replies and I need an excuse to be relegated from CCA ha ha.

My first (and probably only) guess would be that your internet connection was very poor at that specific time.

Still happens at random at certain points through the game on rounds 1 & 2 this week but was particularly bad on that final round last week.
I am on 200 mbps cable so I can't see it being an internet connection and my PS4 is wired in for connection.
Thanks for the reply though.

The only time this has ever happened to me is one time I had my controller connected to two different things at the same time via Bluetooth. Had it connected to my PC via Bluetooth. Went onto my PS4 and tried to play and could not get the swing to work. Maybe every 5th time. Realized the issue and shut down the PC and all waswell. Doubt this is your issue but figured I better say something just on the off chance.

This happens to me quite a bit with my old controller.
It doesn't seem to happen when I use my new one. I prefer the feel of my old controller so I stick with it.
It can happen in a couple of different ways with me. Sometimes I'll pull the stick back and nothing happens at all, other times I'll get to the top of the backswing no problem, but when I push forward nothing happens.
Have you tried using a different controller at all?

Happens every now and again to me. I usually have music playing on my tablet at the same time and I'm guessing that has an impact. I always assume the swing that didn't happen was perfect and so I have something to complain about if the next one isn't.

Only have one controller, the one which came with the PS4 on release day. Oh well I will plod on
Normally club comes back just a bit then stops when the swing error occurs.

I've had the game for a year now, and never had any issues with swings not registering -- until the last week or so. It's happened a few times now. Always play with my controller (PS4) plugged into USB, and have a very decent internet connection, so not sure what could be causing it. I have noticed, though, that a slow backswing will more often than not result in nothing happening on screen.

It seems if I swing to fast it'll take the club back and it'll hover for a few seconds before my golfer goes back into pre-shot. So it might not be the PS4 itself, but instead the PS4 controller.

Well...that blows the controller notion out of the water. OMG... you use a mouse? I remember trying that method with the old Links series and I HATED it. Hope it works better in TGC.

Anyone get to the bottom of this? Just started having the issue now. Very annoying, at times up to 6-8 non swings before full swing, by which time I've lost concentration.

Typically I experience sub-100% swings typically 94% on PS4 when the course has a poor frame rate. Because the swing is moving inconsistently you sometimes don't get a full swing. I usually compensate by waiting an extra second on the backswing to be sure it gets full extension.

Still getting this. Annoying today as three times I had small chips off the green in semi rough. Ended up having to hit 100% and cost me a bogey.
Here is what happens.
Ok on full swings as I just persist until the swing kicks in but makes judging anything less than full swing a nightmare.
