Hi everyone,
New to the game and finding it tough on PS4. I've done a lot of reading and I've reviewed Doyleys tricks thread and most of it makes sense although I really want to work the yardages out myself.
Does anyone know of an already made practise range? Basically a flat hole on GNCD that I can use to estimate carry and then roll?
Also if there is one that is just a large bunker that might help for just carry.
Additional to that a newbie question ... what are the possible course settings (firm medium etc) as I can't seem to find it after I have started a round. Same with green settings, I've seen 144, 175 etc but I don't know what the min and max is.
Thanks in advance.

Ok so I have found quite a few... is it possible to not have to start from a tee box? And can I turn wind off if I create my own course?

best way is to create your own hole, then you can hit same club multiple times from anywhere (replay each shot) and wind will usually be 1mph Max green speed is 187 Fast Min is 101 Slow this can vary greatly as greens.fairways can be set to firm or soft and no real way of telling until you hit a ball it is possible to have a 101 green speed that is firm and fast and 187 green speed that is slow when playing in a tourney it is always best to play 1 practice hole at least to better gauge speeds and Welcome

The best one for when working out distances on anything that's not a putter or chips is the one hole course with water in every direction. Because when the ball hits that is the distance period. It does not hit and bounce and you guess at the distance when it hit. And since the water is in every direction.you can test distances in head winds, tail winds, cross winds and all that. You can shoot 15 times then just hit replay.
Name is the course is "wind test". But there is no way I know of to turn off the wind on this or any other course or range
