Might be a silly question but how'd you make a hole appear to be by a big ocean? All my course boundaries have land around them and as such I can only make water up to these borders? Probably something really simple I am missing!

Only way I have found is making it a Links themed course, it gives you an island of land to plot.

Probably something really simple I am missing! Poster above is right. Links is the only Oceanside theme. Unfortunately, its probably the worst of the themes vegetation and aesthetics wise. Im working on a cove/bayside course in boreal fictionally situated in Pacific northwest, and its taking some smoke and mirrors terrain sculpting to even achieve that effect and I'm not 100% convinced that it works. HB would be really greatly benefitted by putting the grasses of boreal in the links theme. Time will tell if they actually do that.

I too have noticed the only theme where it's possible to have ocean surrounding the working area is links. It would be nice if when you place water up to the boundary in any theme the game blended it with water outside the boundary to match. On the subject of creating links style courses I have just used the countryside theme. Dial out all the trees and the resulting landscape to me gives a much better links effect than the links theme itself. PIPSTON HEAD is my course using this method. Check it out and see what you think.

Kind of did the same thing with my Watercrest course. Countryside theme course completely surrounded by water. Links theme needs a overhaul.

The original links theme is such a let down and a slight on true links courses really

The Countryside Theme and possibly the new Harvest theme would make great inland links courses. Shame no-one really uses them as such. I'd love to do a Inland Links/Heathland type course using that theme.
