I got this when I bught my first wheel and although I'm into the game I'm finding it really hard. Has anyone else played this with a wheel?

Yeah, I've played it with a wheel. It is very hard to start with, but you just have to learn the tracks. Knowing what's coming up makes all the difference. What wheel do you use?
I bought it for PC some time ago, but because I play games in a different room to my PC on my TV, I have to use an extension cable.
The problem with that is the wheel that I have (T100) seems to cut out intermittently when a USB extension is used? I'm thinking of getting a better wheel if the price is right.
I bought Dirt Rally for PS4 two days ago as it was very cheap on the store. The main reason that I got it though, was because VR DLC is coming in the next few weeks. I can't wait to play it in VR, playing DriveclubVR is so much easier to judge cornering and track position than the regular version, even with downgraded visuals.

VR sounds great but I'm not sure I'll ever be allowed it. I have a T150. I'm getting better and starting to do quite well in rally's but even in the simple Rally cross tracks I can't win. I was having an issue on hand break turns but then I found out I'd mapped the hand break incorrectly. USB is limited to length so maybe that's your issue.

I hear you with the rallycross. I find those so hard to win, it's like you need absolutely perfect laps to win those. Maybe it's just about the car setup? If I'm playing with automatic gears, I like to map the handbrake to the right paddle. That way there is no confusion as to where it is and you're not fishing for it

Yeah, I was thinking the same. To be honest I've not looked into set up yet really, not my strong point.
That's what I thought I'd done but the setting didn't save or reveted back to default!!!

Active USBThanks for the heads up Ken. I'm currently using a 10 metre extension. That's fine for my bluetooth dongle, it does cut out sometimes, but not often. Other devices are more problematic. This sounds like exactly what I need

You'll need a strong stomach for it Brad, it's great on the PC with the Oculus Rift but makes me feel ill more than any other game I've played on the Rift, especially those hairpin turns and you feel every bump on the track. It's completely different experience

Having played Driveclub VR quite a bit, I've acclimatized myself to the dizziness that you can get from vr at times. I only ever had to turn that off once because I felt a bit nauseous, that was on a particularly hilly track with sharp turns, when I first played it and wasn't used to motion. With all the constant turning, Dirt Rally will be another level I suppose. The jumps are going to stomach churning for sure! But I'm looking forward to it, playing in cockpit view is the best way to play racing games if you can. With vr, that view is just so natural, you do feel that you are actually in the car.

Yes racing sims and games such as Elite Dangerous are perfect for VR, love it that you can turn around and see your co driver sitting next to you in Dirt Rally. VR really does take the game to a different level , I don't have a steering wheel but it would really add to the experience
