I'm really starting to enjoy the course building, except for one thing, all the crashes, at least on the PS4. I think I'm getting a crash about every 4 or 5 changes. In other words I change a fairway, add rough, adjust the terrain, flattening, and then bam I crash. Now I try and save as much as possible, but you know you get something in your head you want to get done, and while its fresh (believe me it doesn't stay that way as long as it used to) I just put my head down and get it done. That just doesn't work. So does it crash as often on the PC, on more on consoles ?

Bruce:
The crashing in GNCD was a known issue, especially in the Boreal theme. I thought it was fixed in the last update. I use the PS4, and have been working on a project in the Countryside theme, and have yet to experience a crash. But if you have the latest update, and you are still having issues, it is best to report it to HB so they can look into it.
The most frustrating thing is to have gotten so involved and forgetting to save, and then BANG! its all gone.
Good luck.

I did report it over there. Just yesterday I had 9 crashes in GNCD. I think it was 4 in the morning and another 5 in the evening, and yes its in the Boreal theme. Next on my list is a links course, hopefully a lot less crashes.

I started designing a course yesterday after the update. I was designing on the newly created Countryside theme and managed to get through about 4 hours without crashing. This morning I changed the theme to boreal and boom, the dreaded crash hit within 15 minutes. This is on PS4
I changed back to the Countryside theme but didn't spend too long after the change back. I will report back on the findings after changing the theme back.
It might be viable to design the course in the Countryside theme and then change to Boreal to do planting

Boreal crashes for me on PS4 all the time.
I haven't had any time to play with Countryside yet.

Constantly. I can't go more than 10-15 minutes without a crash. Happens in all themes, but the highest frequency appears to be in Boreal. Haven't really done anything in Countryside as of yet. It's probably taking me at least 3x longer to build a course than it would without the crash issues. Looks like I'll just have to deal with it for the time being if I want to keep building.

Wish I had known it was an issue at all. On XB1, owned the game for 2 weeks now, been doing a lot of design work since Q School finished and never had an issue until this morning. Put 3+ hours of work in and froze up. Lesson learned to start saving frequently from now on.
