I am having fits with the ball rolling over the middle, the right edge, the left edge, of the hole? I mean is this normal? Don't think I am hitting the ball too hard on most occasions as a 6 ft putt RIGHT over the middle of the hole and continues on like it hit absolutely nothing and continues to inches or a foot past? Hit the edges of the hole and the ball will bounce up a little and stop inches past the hole. Roll over the edge of the hole "on the white side" if you know what I mean (cause I don't) but on the dark side it drops WTH? So many strokes lost when these are easy putts? Here is another example, putting up hill a very long putt but the ball in right on course UPHILL and rolls over the hole and does nothing, doesn't slow down, doesn't pop up, just continues like it 's rolling on the green, I just don't get it. Is this my graphics or is there something wrong in the settings or is everyone experiencing this? I do play on a PC with a mouse so I have NO clue lol.

Tags i don't what to tell you. With Brad , Jake and a whole lot of us who you have played with for many year's. Coming form the best player's that played TW08 expert for so many year's the PGAX/CGX Tour were always the top 5 for many year's. We know your frustration's we have had them but we learn from each other here on TGC. We play daily the WCGR Discord sever. We have asked you many of times to hop and play live with us. Oh BTW we all play on PC so if anyone else is looking for live play we all play from all over the world. From England, Scotland, Europe, Canada and the US. Now back to Don there's not the drama in this game that went on in TW08 no cheats no hacks. The only drama is the frkn game. I know you were a top 5 player in TW08. You could have a good chance of getting your big boy card. Look the guys who you have played with in the past our WGR, is going down very week. Many have played on exemption in the PGA/EURO. You'll get more advice and seeing what were doing and pick up on little things where i know you'll gain strokes quickly. No offense to any one giving Tags advice from the site it been great but I and others believe playing live and asking this and that is easier to pick up and try. Don buddy hop on bud. This all I can all i can tell you from here on out.

I have mentioned in other posts what is important to me in any round I'm playing. First and foremost is having a bogey free round. Then it's trying to protect my GIR and FIR stats. That's one reason why I don't like playing on concrete greens and narrow fairways as this plays havoc with these stats. But at the end of the day, there is nothing more satisfying than playing a challenging course and walking off the 18th with a decent score.
But you are not on your own Tags. A couple of months ago I was playing a tournament on what must have been the toughest course I've ever played, and nearing the end, and not a bogey in sight, I was faced with a short easy put for par. I couldn't believe it when the ball rolled straight over the hole as if the hole wasn't even there. So I decided to replay this putt to see what went wrong, and on the replay the ball dropped. This was my only bogey in what should have been a perfect round on a tough course.
Yes!, I was pissed with what happened just as others are too. But what you have to remember Tags; is this is a computer game, and I cannot recall playing any game that has not had a glitch somewhere in it.
But the guy's that programmed and developed this software have produced a golf game that is as close to reality as you can ever get from playing golf sitting in a chair. I am not implying for one minute that you are having a dig at these guys, as I'm sure you're not, you just get frustrated like the rest of us, especially when making birdies is hard enough as it is. Hopefully TGC2 will iron out this glitch, and if they do you can bet there will be another glitch in there somewhere.
Enjoy what is a great golf game...

Has been the one thing that drives me nuts since this game came out. It's not your GPU...I've upgraded my whole PC and I still get it. I average 4 or 5 strokes lost to this per tournament. Not an exaggeration..it's just something you live with after awhile

Sometimes more...I've gotten use to it and most times just laugh it off now.

Just to rub salt into an already sore wound...
On the Euro Tour this week, got to the 6th or 7th green in desperate need of a few birdie's, I was faced with a 23ft, 5" downhill putt that turned sharply from right to left. I spent an age eyeing this one up for obvious reasons. As soon as I hit my putt I new it was going to be close. Two yards out, I thought, this is going in, NO!.. The ball rolled straight over the middle of the hole. So now I was faced with a 6ft slightly uphill putt for par. Again, my ball rolled over the centre of the hole. Now I was faced with a 3ft slightly downhill put, which again rolled over the centre of the hole. Now I was beginning to turn purple at this point. My next put, which I don't seem to remember hitting through rage, caught the lip of the hole and came out. What should have been a birdie turned into a triple bogey.
I'm not having a go at the guys who produce this game. All I'm annoyed about is that there is no consistency in the way you have to putt. I tend to play with ghost balls most of the time and I have seen some pretty heavy handed putts that have rocketed into the hole and dropped. And yet I've seen some pretty weak puts roll straight over the hole. I can only hope that TGC2 will have sorted this problem out.

This is a collision glitch in Unity 4. HB has already confirmed this, and that they expect this issue to be fixed in TGCT which utilizes Unity 5.
It has to do with the timing of the application of the force of gravity. If gravity is applied too late, the ball doesn't fall fast enough and rolls over the hole. It happens more often on downhill putts.

Patrick is correct also not sure if it was mentioned but if you have a putt that bounces off the cup its a tricky error in the game your putt should actually lip out the other direction so in this instance you would of still missed.
with the roll overs as patrick has said its the gravity of the hole that kicks in to late on fast putts on rare occasions ive had my ball go threw a flag and the replay shows it hitting and dropping frustrating but it is what it is. TGCT2 will solve all this so for now laugh it off.
