Not had a chance to play it yet Sam but looking very good. Love the musicality of that video, seemed to be made for it, very nice. Cheers Pat..... when I was selecting the music I was pleased when I counted 9 crescendos either side of the more mellow mid section to enhance the tee shots. I have used it before with another (football) video on my Youtube channel so have always had it on the back burner for a golfing showcase.

Working on 3 additional pin sets & I've now published the first of them............... Port Sunlight Golf Club (Pin 2) Experience the eerie atmosphere of the course at first light as the sun rises over the ocean casting a golden glow over the bay & estuary waters. The port is beautifully silhouetted at this, its busiest time & hundreds of gulls flock to the area awaiting the dawn catch...... Playing once again from the tournament tees the new pin placements are a little trickier but the greens still hold the morning dew on their top surface slowing the putting speed down to a very manageable 164 feet. Happy New Year to everyone at TGCTours & best wishes for 2017

Pin #3 Published as well now.... Day 3 & your scheduled for a late afternoon round...... You should be used to the layout by now & luckily the medium conditions are once again in evidence. There are 3 significant yardage changes on this round. Hole 3 will play off the front members tee box & the championship tees are used for both the first & last holes on the back 9. These should appease the drier & faster putting speeds which are almost running at maximum as well as reducing the overall course distance to just over 7000 yards. Final pin coming soon with lots of tee changes & different angles to try

Hey Sam! Really liked the course you made here. Only issue I had with it really was some split fairways, some internal OB and the fairway on 4. Not sure why the fairway got stretched beyond the treeline or why it was split to begin with. On a side note I'd like to say that I don't agree with Griffs remarks on smoother fairways. It's a subjective thing and some steeper slopes on fairways is something I see regularly in my part of the world. Not everything needs to be super smooth and gradient. I'll probably get a lot of the same remarks along with them being too bumpy

I'll probably get a lot of the same remarks along with them being too bumpy Thanks Ola... Glad you enjoyed the course on the whole. I always value your feedback & can understand your points. I wouldn't make "internal areas" out of bounds if the game allowed us to take a free drop but getting stuck under rocks or losing a stroke for opting for an unplayable lie forces ones hand somewhat. On the 4th fairway I wanted to punish a straight drive if it was over hit but not make the player shoot from the rough, rather a high loft or shaped approach over or around the trees. I split the fairway at right angles to offer a reward to players chancing a (wind dependant) drive over the water hazard on the left. For me, a run of the mill dog leg offered very little challenge off the tee & I like to add variety or as you put it so kindly (on my Hopper's Valley video review) "Quirky!" Fairway sloping, gradients & "smoothness" is hyper subjective & so long as the camber doesn't send a "good shot" off the fairway I'm happy. Good luck with your Silent Ivy in group G mate.

Cheers @griff ... Really enjoyed watching you go round my course & pointing out what you considered good, bad &/or indifferent.
Thanks for setting up the contest & overseeing all the stuff that goes on behind the scenes... Hope everything goes smoothly mate.

Well done Sam, only complaint is how close the fairways are on 10 and 18, just looks a little ugly, otherwise brilliant course...can't wait to hopefully play this one on tour

What tour are you on? Couldn't find you in the members list!! Yeah! I almost ran out of room routing 16, 17 & 18 - notice I'm right up against the plot edge on the left hand side? Hence the rock work trying to hide the outer canvas. In hindsight I should have continued the rocks up along that perimeter & made 18 a right hand dogleg with the initial fairway running perpendicular to the wall before turning to get home. Thanks for the play & your comments - much appreciated

Published the 4th & final pin now.................
Pin #4
The final round & a mid morning tee off time in clear conditions. You'll need to take extra care with your woods today as the fairways are much firmer.... Also, whilst the greens remain medium the putting speed is at it's fastest. With that in mind it's time to mix things up a little & your chance to play most holes from the Championship tees which will make the trail considerably shorter by around 300 yards at a little over 6,800.
Just 4 holes play from their original tees; numbers 6, 8, 11 & 17 whilst the par 3, 14th uses the members box to offset the difficulty of the pin position.
If the winds are up play safe. If it's calm go for your shots. Good luck!!
