It's pricey but the vibe is the best be platform so far. I'll see if I can figure a way to get one...might be a hard sell for me though...

I'll see if I can figure a way to get one...might be a hard sell for me though... hopefully this will get sorted for PSVR. it's out next week and already sold more units than the vive and rift! Rift is ridiculous cost for what it is and PSVR is far better value for money IMO Vive certainly has potential. I just wonder if they have tried to run before they can walk with the fact you can move around with it. Surely master the basics of a VR headset first and then look to progress. Don't get me wrong if vive works out to work well then for the tech involved less than 4 figures is great value for what it does I just feel at £349 the PSVR is the logical choice at the moment... Or maybe it's just because I can't wait to get mine next week and a bit of fan boy is coming out!

Would be real awesome if in a year or two there was a VR tour, like there's a TrueSim tour. That would probably have to wait on the VR market being reliable on all three platforms but boy would it be cool.

I read the psvr is underpowered rght now and having only the front camera makes it a bit dodgey. I'm up to try them all though

I read the psvr is underpowered rght now and having only the front camera makes it a bit dodgey. I'm up to try them all though think it depends who you read. Read those sorts of comments from Kotagu who are quite negative on it and then you have IGNORED who whilst they state it does happen it's quite rare and not often enough to disrupt the experience. I do think long term they will need to release a new camera with a larger field of view and more up to date move controls. Don't get me wrong, the PSVR is NOT as good as the others in a vacuum, I'm battling it's corner to say its the best value for money. It's like going to the cinema to watch a film for £10 or buying that film on DVD a year later for £5. It's the same product essentially, for your money you get a better experience it's a case of is the extra you pay worth the extra quality you receive. In the case of VR I don't think it is but that's a very informed opinion based on others opinions

oh I'm not terribly worried about the PSVR for what it is... I just was thinking that the Vive control mechanisms are more to my liking. I'd be happy to take a spin with PSVR for that price though. And with RE7? Yeah...I'm on board with that idea 100% ;-)

I have a Rift - use it for racing games a fair bit (the killer app for VR) but really can't get used to using it for playing any other games at all - a good monitor still wins the vast majority of the time. Can't say I'm not dissapointed to hear it's for Vive only But suspect it will be another one that I'd "go wow" at for 30mins and then move back to a good old 2D screen for long term play. It didn't mention much on how the club would be swung - but am assuming as it's Vive that it's full swing of the arms using the motion controllers. Sounds fun ...and wild Also it's a separate game without the course designer, so sadly no good for TGCT? Which again means it probably won't get played much beyond initial demo. I'd save your £769's for now chaps.
