Does using different controllers on the PC version majorly affect gameplay? Are there "official" controllers?
I've played with three controllers so far: a PS3 controller via bluetooth, a wired XBox 360 controller, and an Ipega PG-9023 (when streaming to my Shield tablet).
I'm noticing differences with each controller though, little quirks:
To add, none of these controllers have been tweaked in any way driver-side. They're as is, the 360 pad with the native Windows driver, the PS3 emulating a 360 pad with the SCP XInput Wrapper, and the Ipega is a native Android controller, seems to just emulate a 360 controller over Gamestream to Steam.

I'm noticing differences with each controller though, little quirks:
- The PS3 controller is the easiest to consistently hit 100% at all times, and seems easier to hit "partial shots" (I.E.: only pulling back for 58%, or something like that). But it's got a tendency to shank hard to the left or right, it's difficult to get a perfectly straight shot with it. I get at least a little draw or fade on every shot I need to compensate for, and sometimes it just goes flying sideways if I'm not careful.
- The 360 controller has less of a tendency to go off course than the PS3, seems a bit less sensitive on the X-axis, but is also not quite as likely to go 100%. I hit more than a few shots last night that I thought should have been full power, but ended up between 90-98%.
- The Ipega bluetooth controller seems to be a stiffer stick, and is pretty easy to hit straight on with, very little unintended swerve on the shots, and I can pretty consistently hit dead center on the shot. But like the XB360 pad, it has a tendency to go under 100%. And sensitive shots are harder, so I sometimes end up overswinging if I need to hit something at like 50-70%
