Hi all. It's me, Irving. The guy that somehow won the Community Member of the Year award last year.
We have a great community with the exception of Burton31Cat. (He likes mayonnaise on his sub sandwiches. Disgusting.) I could run down an entire list of folks who make this community better beyond the Power Cabal of Tim, Doyley and Canuck. BentFiveWood. GDog. Karma4U. DoubtfulObelisk. MoeSlorkman. Griff....I could go on and on.
But I am launching a campaign for next year's Community Member of the Year award as we are reaching the end of Season 2.
And no, I'm not campaigning for myself.
I'm the new campaign manager whether he likes it or not for Loughrey.
If you haven't been spending time in the Community Run Events forum then you don't know who this guy is...and you should. Heck, there are probably folks who have been in that forum and played his tournaments who don't know the guy. He's not a flashy poster, doesn't make controversial statements...he just consistently runs some of the best and most creative community run events on the board. He gets little praise, little feedback and most importantly doesn't get paid a dime for all his time and effort.
So I think he deserves to be lauded as our Community Member of the Year at the end of Season 2 for everything he's contributed to the forums and I'm starting his campaign right now. He probably cringes at the thought of the attention but darn it...he's really enhanced this website and our community.

He gets my vote. I ran the original Tiered Cup last year and also the PGA Vs Euro Cup for 2 seasons and I know how much of a pain in the sack it is running/getting scores/chasing up people to finish and such......pretty much hours every week.
Good call Irving as your reign of Community Member of the year comes to a close.

I'm ok with 1st runner up
And for the record, I like Miracle Whip! "Nothing beats the tangy zip of Miracle Whip!"

It can only be Loughrey - his events are by far the most enjoyable. Arguably more enjoyable than the tour itself!
But Irving is VERY wrong about one thing - mayo on a sub is a thing of greatness!

Loughrey and Catcherman both do a great service for us. By setting up most of the community events, it allows us to play something that is slightly more laid back than our tournament rounds, but also gives us a chance to play some of the great new courses that people are designing. Some of these courses may never get a tour event or not on a tour that we play, so it's a great thing to get them some exposure to the masses. Thank you guys for setting up some really fun events throughout the year.

That's true, Catcherman provides a lot to everyone as well. Loughrey runs about 27 tournaments/events simultaneously which is super impressive. Both give a lot to the community! Hugs for everyone.

I think a true contributor will give his birdies away. I could use about 15.
