A quick question. When trying to land your ball on a multi sloping green would one always try to land the ball for an uphill putt or a downhill putt? Though I try I cannot seem to workout which is the favoured shot. Thank you in advance

I always try to leave myself with an uphill putt if possible. Easier to control the distance and less of a chance in turning a 10 foot miss into a 20 foot comeback when it rolls away.
The reality for me is I'm not a good putter, so uphill putts (especially right to left) give me a lot of trouble if they are outside of 10 feet. I just don't judge the break very well.

Confidently hit a 3" uphill putt and miss, you might have a 3-footer coming back. Hit a 3" downhill putt confidently and miss? It could run 15 feet by. Always easier dealing with uphill.

Definately leave an uphill putt buddy. Not only is it easier to judge the distance, but the putt becomes easier because you don't have to aim for as much break. This is because you need to hit it firmly resulting in the ball holding its line better. Downhill putts require soft hits, making the ball turn much more :-)
