Hey guys,
I'll be trying to earn my PGA card next week but was told that even if I make the cut and get my card, it is too late in the season to climb up the ladder and would ultimately loose it at the end of the year or would have to play the Web Finals to earn my card again.
I read the rules but didn't find that exact statement.
Can someone tell me if this makes sense?
Thanks

Anyone? Maybe Doyley could clarify this.

If you earn a PGA card, you can keep that card provided one of the following is true at season's end:
1) You are in the top 80% of PGA card holders in Fed Ex points 2) You have won a PGA event 3) You qualify via the Web.com Tour Finals (bottom 20% of Fed Ex point standings participates in the Web.com Tour Finals)

What would you suggest in my position then? It seems I can't do anything about the first two points you mentioned and I would have to do the Web.com Tour finals anyways if I were to play on that Web.com circuit. Is there any perks of playing in the PGA regarding WGR or should I play on the Web.com Tour? Cheers

Is there any perks of playing in the PGA regarding WGR or should I play on the Web.com Tour? You earn more WGR points by playing on the PGA Tour and doing fairly well than you do by playing the Web.com tour and finishing close to the top. Play the PGA. Worst that happens is that you have to play the Web.com finals anyway. You'll play tougher courses and your overall game will improve.
