I practice, but only to get a familiarity with the upcoming course for official rounds. I average two rounds or so a week for those. I don't practice to focus on any part of my game. For putting, I try to note where my misses are (high vs low side) and if there is a trend, I adjust accordingly. Some courses I just can't dial it in at all putting wise as I miss both high-side and low-side. It seems SwAeromotion and I attended the same school of thought re preparation, practice, putting and adjustment. And, like Sw, I too have issues dialing it in - in my case, I find it's greens in the mid 160's on the stimp that give my the most trouble nailing down the speed. When I play tournament rounds, I play a lot slower, more focused, and slightly more risk-averse than when I practice. More often than not it's not pin seeking, but finding good landing areas, and getting approaches into them while erring on the side of caution. I'd way rather have an 12-foot uphill putt than a 5-foot downhill one, and I'd almost rather be in the greenside bunker than be trying to play a 16-foot sidehill putt. I too sometimes find it hard to get into that sweet spot between slipping into "F**King Bullsh*t!!" rage mode, and then react too far the other way where you don't give a crap anymore and just shoot to finish off the round. I shot a horrendous 77 or 78 round last week in a meltdown. Think Aero's right about not letting one bad shot get to you in the first place. A bad shot or two out of 250-260 over a tournament is still pretty damn good.

It seems you did not take my advice on becoming a pothead seriously.
As a certified doctor, that is indeed the best thing for you.
Trust me, I slept in a holiday inn last night.

Just remember in your darkest moments there is always someone worse off than you, like the crappy England squad of 2016.

Haha...check out the young Bill Murray! My only advice is that it's ok to get angry but it can't last longer than 10 seconds. You still have another shot to hit and your head needs to be back in positive mode to do it well. Get mad, get over it. My fav quote..."So what? Now what?" Crap happens in life...get past it with a positive expectation of yourself!

Shoot, they're tough for everyone. But they're really tough if you're down on yourself. Read it and if you dont feel like you'll make it then aim differently...don't just hit and hope. Fail feeling sure, not unsure.

Fail feeling sure, not unsure. I try and do this but still miss those shorter putts. My life might as well be over if i can't make them. The collection is becoming very large.

Go see your GP, seriously. Mental health isn't something to take lightly.

Then not much is going to change. I'm a long term (15 years) diagnosed depressive. Without the help of docs and treatment I'd probably be dead now. Bit of a harsh truth, but honest.

I just quit a round because all i was doing was sitting there with a grumpy look on my face. I can't get myself to finish any round and one slight mistake and i'm in rage mode.
I tried playing the RRCC tour earlier and was falling behind so just gave up because i know i should be there at the top. To be honest all of this has made me not care as much for this game anymore. Just a bore fest at the moment and i have no real reason to play it other than the tourneys and even then i'm not fulfilling my goals so what can i do??? (please don't moan and say "oh you're 11th in the WGR and your time will come)
As you all probably know i have threatened to quit multiple times and even had a week break before (for a holiday) and came back and finished in a playoff. Whilst that really helped me, i fear if i try and have similar breaks between tourneys then i will just get the urge to play (which i do now) then repeat this rage over and over. Getting jealous of others (them beating me) and then me performing badly.
I certainly don't deserve my rankings as i have said numerous times and was wondering if the tours would be a better place without me. I'm guessing you will all probably say yes as all i do is continue to drabble on about this and that and never seem to be happy.
