Terry, I've got the same issue except my screen is completely black. Whatever I do I can't seem to get around it. Can't continue 'cos it would be like TST "no aids" golf on steroids! Lol. Have emailed the commish and they have offered to withdraw me so that I don't get a DQ. Disappointed but at least there's plenty of other golf going on at the moment. Good luck in the big league. PS If anyone knows or finds a way around this problem let me know. I'll hold off withdrawing for a few days just in case. I get the feeling that I'm not going to be the only one. I have the same problem. Tried to play on saturday and in R2 the whole screen was black. So I have withdrawn and will use my unexpected exemption to play the European Tour. Good luck to all who are able to play this tournament! See you next week!

I only just read your post now Moe Slorkman, was staying away from this thread until I had my 1st 2 rounds done so I wouldn't get any spoilers. I know exactly what you go through, I'm sort of the same myself. Not on the extreme side but still bad enough. Same with the panic attacks....and you know what I hate most about them? They just love to strike when nobody else is around!! On Friday just gone I had a bit of an episode myself, was at the stage where I thought I was about to take a heart attack....pains in chest and arm s@#t. There nothing worse especially when no-one else home. Glad you feeling better mate. Take it easy and look after yourself.

So cold, so damn cold, it is going to be a challenge playing in this conditions, trying to swing a golf club wearing a bulky winter jumper is not easy. The brass monkey I carry for good luck is now a eunuch. What am I going to rub for luck now, the last time I rubbed something else I got banned from the course and a restraining order, it might be a long day. To make matters worse, while on the putting green before my round, my ball rolled over some yellow snow and is now a strange colour, I think someone else needs a ban and a restraining order. Anyway, on with the round and a positive start, last week my approach shots were terrible, my first today was decent, giving me a excellent birdie chance which I happily took, just need to keep that going. I did not keep it going, the second was all about keeping it in the fairway which I did well, then came my approach, I misjudged the wind and was thirty feet from the cup, a good putt came close but a par on a par five is never good. The headwind on the third made the hole difficult and yet I still managed to over hit and off the back of the green, I don't know my own strength sometimes, chipped close for par. The fourth brought my second birdie of the day, it was not a easy putt, eleven feet with the sort of break that can confuse me, very happy with birdie there. My approach on five was disappointing, I left it well short but I even surprised myself with a excellent long range putt to go three under, I have been getting a lot of long range putts close lately, it was nice to see one drop. Of course I just jinxed myself and on the next hole I lipped out, another par on a par five and another poor shot to the green, disappointing. The seventh brought another misjudgment of the wind, the distance was perfect to try get close to the flag but the wind carried a lot further than I expected, a good chip from off the back of the green brought birdie though, a good recovery from a poor approach. I missed the fairway on eight but my lie in the light rough was good and this allowed me to pitch close for birdie. I finished the front nine with a good par after leaving myself with a tricky downhill birdie putt, one of those that could have ended up twenty feet away had I not been careful. A good front nine, some mistakes but happy to be five under at the turn. The tenth, a par five with the possibility of eagle and the possibility of bogey if the wind catches the ball from the tee, I played carefully, made sure I was on the fairway, made sure I was on the green, my eagle putt was over thirty feet with a lot of break and was so close to perfection, just inches short. I was playing for birdie though so can not complain about a tap in one. My tee shot on eleven ended up right behind a tree, I had enough space to play around but it was not easy, I played a great shot, I did not end up on the green, just off to the left leaving a six yard chip, giving myself a birdie chance from that position was a great result, I took the chance and moved to seven under. I nearly made the green in one on twelve, ended up on the fringe which was probably a blessing in disguise, it guaranteed me a birdie as there was no issue with getting close for a tap in instead of a difficult putt that could have gone anywhere. The thirteenth could so easily been a nightmare hole for me, a downhill par three, with a strong tailwind, my brain was working over time to try and figure out what club to use, I could not do it, so I ended up guessing and was happy to make the green, no birdie chance but at least I made sure I made par which believe me was a great result on a hole like that. Fourteen brought the toughest tee shot of the round so far and when I ended up in the rough, I knew I was playing for par, the wind caused me all sort of problems but thankfully it was a par five so I did have three shots to make the green, I had no real chance of birdie but par was never in doubt, while I was disappointed with par on a couple of other par fives, I was happy to walk away with one here. I follow that with another decent par after a poor tee shot. I was tiring at this stage, focus was wandering a little, three to play, just need to keep it together a little bit longer. Sixteen was one of those awkward holes, where a misstep on approach was going to bring nothing but trouble, I played it well leaving a straight thirteen foot putt for birdie, very happy with birdie here as it was a hole that could have brought trouble. The relief of making birdie there had me not focusing on the next hole and I did not reach the green, wrong club choice took away potential birdie, safe par was made, time to close it out. The last was about avoiding doing anything stupid, I did something stupid, on my second shot I tried to play around some trees, got it wrong and for the first time this round, my ball ended up on a white part of the course, luckily my lie was good and I managed to pitch to within four feet to finish with a birdie and ten under par. My best opening round in awhile, some mistakes but also some great shots in a times tricky conditions. A steady round two and I should make the cut, after some poor results lately, that would be nice. I have in the past been accused of writing novels for my round reports, been accused of other things to but let's stick to novels because you see, novels tend to have dedications, so I have decided to dedicate this novel of a round report to Moe Slorkman Moe, stay strong, was sad to read about what most have been a terrifying experience for you over the weekend. Opening up the way you did here is a great first step, especially living in Ireland where men's mental health can be a taboo subject. It was brave of you and I admire your courage. You have friends and family around you, never be afraid to talk to them. You also have your tgctours friends and family who are always here to listen. I think I safely say I speak for all of us here in wishing you well, you are in our thoughts.

So rounds 1 & 2 are done. What can I say? Well dissapointed a bit with myself considering how much I had practiced this course, through both play a round and @wagtunes practice tournaments. Got some conditions similar to what is in the tournament and still did very good. That wasn't to be the case though for the actual rounds. Round 1 I couldn't get anything going for the first 5-6 holes. Don't even want to talk about putts that would just slam on the brakes right at the lip, or look in the hole and just keep rolling on by. I swear there has to be some sort of forcefield around some of the cups!!! Anyway, managed to get myself to -8 by the last few holes. Then, the par 5 18th. Finished nicely on the fairway off the tee, then the decision was upon me, play safe and lay up going for birdie? Or smash it and try for the green and an eagle to get to -10. Well my decision was, wind isn't too bad and it should help the ball reach the green. Went for it, hit the side of the hill and bounced straight back into the water! Managed to escape with par somehow. Round 2 I said to myself play safe. So that round ended up being similar to the first....well without any water incidents....and managed to finish it at -9. Not bad scoring in each round, but a little dissapointed considering I know what I'm capable of even with strong winds. So sitting at -17 under it's now time to sit back, watch, wait and pray that's enough to make the weekend. Best of luck to everyone this week.

Firstly before everyone reads the below I'm not looking for sympathy , special treatment or anything of the sorts. With all the talk regarding mental illness of late on tgct I just thought I'd share what really happened yesterday. As you know I played very well round 1 and feel apart round 2 if anyone watches my ghost on round 2 they will see I made some terrible misjudgments especially on the greens I was reading left to right as right to left and visa versa. As along time sufferer (14 years ) of Manic depression Over the last 2-3 weeks I haven't been in a great mindset but the second round made no sense how was this happening? Turns out approx 30 minutes after my round I had a massive panic attack (first one ever) . Which was made worse that I was home alone with my 2 year old daughter. Also my wife works in a job were phones have no signal which added to the attack as I couldn't reach her. I won't bore you with the details but eventually I got my mother and a mate over who in turn got a doctor out! I'm fine now just very tired but I was terrified at the time. Basically my point is I've been suffering mentally of late and basically refused to do anything haven't been taking medication because I hate even taking a headache tablet. Because of this now my physical health is out of whack . I am posting this because tgct is a weird family to me and I hope that if even one person reads this with similar issues and decided they will take a trip to the doctor and get help my harping on here will be worth it ! Thank you for your time men and women! Now back to golf I've had issues in the past with anxiety and am a long term sufferer with depression which comes and go. Unless you've suffered with these things its difficult understand how difficult it can be..I wouldn't wish anxiety or depression onto my worst enemy. Thanks for you work with TGC... Best wishes. Unless you've suffered with these things its difficult to understand how hard the simple daily things in life can be..I wouldn't wish anxiety or depression onto my worst enemy. Thanks for you work with TGC... Best wishes Moe Slorkman

looks like I wasted 20 minutes of my life playing R1, as I can't play R2, due to black screen. On the bright side, more time to practice the open qualifier (unless I get collared into packing my suitcases)
Anyone for night golf.

hmammoth Dan have no wish to put the mockers on you but you are at high risk of the dreaded black screen when you re-enter for your second round. Has happened to a couple of us so far and we have all had to withdraw. Risk factors are 1. You play on PS4 2. You didn't play through after round 1, you stopped. 3. You're Irish Sorry but that last one's meant to be funny. Seriously though I hope everything's ok when you recommence.

Yeah you and me both Dave and a few others so far. I think by the end of the week there's going to be a few unhappy campers. Good job there's plenty else going on is all I can say. If you want a laugh though I tried to play the second round through the "play Round" avenue just in case it might free something up. Well it didn't but 'cos I was out of tourney mode I decided to play the first hole in the dark to see if anything happened and I managed a bogey 5 playing blind! ffs!
