Sorry for the noob questions, but technically I'm a noob.
1) What is the purpose of posting a practice round? I see the link to do this, and checked the stats to see what it was all about, but I'm a little confused as to its purpose. Is it just to get an idea of common scores for various wind conditions, or is there something more that I'm missing?
2) If I wanted to post a practice round, how would I know which version of the course to post? I went to check out The Arizona Black Diamond before this week's CC-C event, and there are no less than 12 versions of this course in the game. And in a related vein...
3) Which version(s) of a course should I be practicing on? I'm assuming if there is a "..setup A", "...setup B", etc., that these are the pin positions for the four days of the tournament. But some courses (see 2 above) have many different versions. Is there a way to tell which versions will be the ones we are playing in advance?
Thanks,
Bacon

Always check the Multi-pin Schedule for your tournament. tgctours.proboards.com/thread/3899/challenge-circuit-multi-pin-scheduleThe exact course names will be written there. For CC Week 36, you are playing the following courses: The Arizona Black Diamond (1A) The Arizona Black Diamond (1B) The Arizona Black Diamond (1C) The Arizona Black Diamond (1D) Also check for practice threads. There will usually be a few tours set up with the correct courses so you can get a feel for each edition and setup.

He's actually talking about posting practice round scores through the TGCTours.com website, I've never used it and not sure if many do, I too am not really sure what they would really provide benefit for.... Unless you were to log multiple practice rounds over time and see if you improve, you can do this in game though with previous ghost balls and what not though. Tim can you shed some light maybe again on this subject? Also, is Country Clubs still coming? Thinking about kicking off some unofficial clubs but would need some help with the admin side of things as I'm not very technologically gifted

Thank you, Erixon. That was exactly what I needed. Naturally, I've played 3 practice rounds and 0 were on a setup in the tournament lol.
"He's actually talking about posting practice round scores through the TGCTours.com website..." Nailed it! Sorry for not being more clear. The only practical use I can see for posting practice rounds is to determine the possible wind conditions a player might expect to see on each course, although I'm sure those are determined by the course type (Boreal, Desert, etc.).

Thanks,
Bacon I would skip that feature - we're likely removing it as it's not being used

Well, you learn something new every day. I've been playing for about 10 months now and didn't even know about this feature.
