Hey guys, I've noticed lately that some of us are taking the game way too seriously at times (myself included), wanting to quit, getting frustrated, etc. I think we need to take a step back and realize this is just a game and we have stumbled upon a fantastic little community revolved around an indie golf game. I wanted to start a thread to recognize some of the members of the community that make this site so great. Of course there is a small number of us that run the day-to-day stuff, but without community volunteers to do course selection, reviewing, rangers, etc...as well as those that contribute to the community by helping others or making us laugh, this site would not be what it is today. I'll start by thanking my small but tireless review team bassman70, pablo, coruler2, and Moe Slorkman who work behind the scenes and play all the new courses to approve them/consider them for tournament play. Barely anyone notices they are doing it, but if we didn't have them, it would take ages for your submitted courses to get approved. Want to thank or recognize people? Tag them in the post (using the @ blue guy button) and tell us why.

I just joined this great community just a short few months ago. The Golf Club is a great game no matter what, but joining this community has exploded my expectations on what a game can provide. Thanks to all those who work behind the scenes to make this happen! I've enjoyed every moment, every tournament, and every competitor I've played against. Keep up the good work! We've got a good thing here! Thanks guys!

I was also on the fence not long ago thinking will I take a break from the tournaments for a while. Then realised, as you said Crazycanuck1985 ...."it's just a game"....and a great game at that with a great community also. I had kind of gotten bored of the game not long after release and didn't play for quite a while. Then one evening I decided to play it while streaming. One of the guys in the chat asked me had I heard of tgctours.com and that I should check it out. I was so happy I did as it gave me the need and want I was looking for to play the game. So first off I have to say thanks to the person who made me aware of tgctours.com, unfortunately can't remember who it was. Also a very big thank you to everyone involved in creating this great community and for working behind the scenes not only to keep it going as well as growing, but also doing it in your own free time on top of your real life commitments. I can honestly say if I had not been pointed in the direction of tgctours.com I would more than likely have uninstalled what is now (for me at least) a truely great game and my favourite in the golf genre.

Personally there is a lot of people I would like to mention for different reasons but ill do the non Oscar speech version! 1. mrooola who has helped me getting started with Scheduling and Reviewing. Now we are currently working as a good team scheduling on Web. 2. Doyley and Crazycanuck1985 for giving me the above positions and other general behind the scenes stuff. 3. The rangers especially @wagtunes the chap plays everything and gives great feedback (more than I ask for most of the time) the hours he takes up testing courses is insane and once you look past his horrid avatar he's a decent lad. 4. Irving R. Levine and the rest of the podcast team but especially Irving as the (nearly) weekly podcast is a must listen to me now its my sense of humour and a great overview of all things tgctours. 5. nantez88 feng187 Slymas Real life mates (well Feng is a brother of a mate not sure if we are in the friendzone yet ) and the reason I keep playing the game when I start hacking even though the McDonald brothers abandoned me to go to Euro . Last one hmammoth when there is nothing to read when going for my post morning coffee trip to the toilet I can always rely on his round reports to pass the time while I pass my *maximum characters reached

Cheers to all that have helped build this great community that we all love. Probably so much goes into it than we will ever know. So happy I stumbled upon this boat of misfits. Again, thanks to everyone.

I can't deny, I feel proud of being part of this community and i like being involved and an active member, but hey we are a lot of people here without any special status and their contribution is also big. We all are a big part of this, so thanks to everybody

Much appreciation to the Rangers. Our job would be LOTS more tedious without them. Special shoutout to Ola and Moe...good advice and mentoring. Major kudos to Pablo. Besides designing the cool sigs, he is always there behind the scenes as a reviewer and special requests from Airik and me.
To all of the volunteers....this wouldn't run without you guys.

loughrey and catherman22 for the consistent tournaments they provide. Having helped out loughrey for ONE of the 6 Stableford tournaments he's run, I can safely say that he is putting a lot more hours into keeping track of scores and making posts than people realize.
edi_vedder and Dean Huddlestone for their work with the weekly RRCC.

When I get too serious about this game and getting all het up about missing cuts and whatnot you are the guy I turn to for a laugh and to keep things in perspective. You're not a bad course scheduler either sometimes, but you'd be shite without all the talented designers we've got!

Could not agree more. I'm not part of the rrcc but all these guys deserves some recognition outside the threads they have for each event. Props! Also I'd like to say that I'm humbled to be mentioned not once but twice in this thread by my scheduling colleagues. Thank you very much. It feels fantastic to know that I'm not a complete twat in everyone's eyes

Way to many people to thank.
Doyley and the gang that do so much hard work, the programmers that continue to improve the website, the guys that check the scores.
No doubt there are a lot of people to thank that we never hear from.
Also the course reviewers, schedulers, rangers and the all the media guys that stream HB Keith, Else etc etc and not forgetting the podcast guys.
I would like to offer my sincere thanks to the designers of the courses. So much of your time is spent making courses that often get criticised, as not every one will like every course but still despite that, you continue to dedicate so much time. Awesome

Definitely @loughrey. His work and time spent on the events deserves a mention for sure. And his patience continuing to set them up with when people dont even finish or start their rounds. I look forward to and eagerly await the Stableford Tournaments every time. One of my favorite tournaments here. The Presidents Cup has been a blast as well. If there was a "Community Member of the Year" award he would get my vote. Also catcherman22 as well for his work on the community events. I don't play in the elimination ones but much respect for the work involved.

I am fresh into this whole thing but everyone who has built this into what it is gets a round of applause from me. Since finding out about TGCTours.com, I have been absolutely obsessed with the game (which I had shelved for the winter). I beat myself up at work thinking about my poor shooting, laugh at how I could have potentially done better in real life, and try to cope with the anticipation of when I will get to play another round. I have been telling everyone to get this game and join in because it is just such a cool addition to a game. Thank you to everyone who made this whole thing possible and I look forward to hours of teeing it high.
Cheers.
