When going into a course, is there a way to tell what the green firmness is? I know you can see the speed, but I'm guessing that's separate from firmness. Also, what does the course difficulty actually mean (easiest, easy, etc.)? Is that just based on total yardage or something?

Best thing to do is to walk onto the green and feel the ground under your feet, it helps if you do star jumps.

That's the only way, unless the designer is nice enough to publish the conditions on the multi-pin thread. The course "difficulty" in-game means absolutely nothing. Just about every course we play will end up being labeled "easiest". That rating has to do with the scores that players are shooting. Since the courses on tour have been played by players who play this game on a daily basis, most scores come in well under par, even on the most difficult courses. That's how the courses end up being labeled as "Easiest" difficulty.
