Just played the tour that some other good fellow has created.
It is so easy to make a mistake on this course, and each mistake is likely to cost you two shots and not just the one. Scoring will be polarised is my prediction. Mistake free round and someone will get an 8 or even a 9 under par. Add a mistake into the mix and it will be 2's and 3's.
I managed to throw in a couple of triple bogeys along the way and some poor decision making cost me a few others. Finished the practice tourney at +1 and was -2 after the second round. I don't fancy that being enough to make the cut - it'll be somewhere near -8 I think.

I just played the thursday setup. Puhhh...what a course. The most difficult I've played so far. Better never get off the fairway. But I love challenges. So I'm looking forward to the play the tournament and i wonder how the scores will be.

It'll be extremely interesting if the wind is howling. Had a bash of the Thursday setup, and shot -2 in quite calm conditions

I just finished the practice round. Round 4 was excellent because of high winds. I went from -2 to +2 and finished -3 (or was it -2 not 100% sure anymore...; 2 double bogeys in that round). Total score -19 or -20. I don't expect the winning score to be much lower then -30 next week. It's an interesting course with high elevations/drop downs. Don't assume you've got the right club. There are also a few greens where the slope of the green can be used to your advantage. Looking forward to this one.

Hi guys.
This is the first time I've ever come to this part of the forum as a CC-B member.
I decided to try to play this week's Web tour just to see how ready I was for Web if I ever, by some miracle, made it up here. Anyway, I shot 3 over in round 1 and just decided there was no point in going on as the cut line is 1 under.
How do you guys do it? The insane elevations onto spaghetti fairways are tough enough. Toss in the max firm greens and I don't see how anybody breaks par on this thing.
Honestly, I have to question my sanity to even want to qualify for Web.com. It's just plain brutal up here.
Anyway, like I said, first time I ever popped in up here. Most likely will be my last as I obviously don't belong.
Good luck to all this week.
Cheers

One of the toughest courses thus far.

This week's Web.com is typical Canuck, PLUS elevation change. But, Web.com also did play this course earlier in the season.

Still, I've looked at the scores and somehow, you guys manage. Too tough for my blood. This wasn't one of Webs most difficult this year. It's BY FAR the toughest. It's however not unfair in any way in my opinion. Just tough. I missed the cut this week with a few shots. -3 in round 1. +6 in round two. With that said. Round 2 isn't tougher than round 1 imo. This week's Web.com is typical Canuck, PLUS elevation change. But, Web.com also did play this course earlier in the season. So did CC. Winner in CC-A hit -54 I think.

I just wanted to point out that the Web.com tour doesn't always play difficult courses, and give an example of an easy one. It doubly helps CC players relate because they also played the course and tore it up.
