Hi there, I am new to web as I am playing with a sponsor exemption. My first round went okay, was -10 after 15. A friend came by, wanted to see how I was playing since he has the game too (not playing here (yet)). Concentration gone and ended with par, par, bogey. -9 total. My 2nd round was decent. Noy very good but also not very bad... Not sure what the level in here is but -16 won't make the cut with 2 or 3 strokes I think. Good luck to all.

Was happy to get to T32 in last weeks comp - may be worth a few virtual dollars. Forget about Tye Dunes, absolute disaster, the less said the better. Looking forward to Killarney next week though.

Hello people! This week was the toughest week I've ever had since my registration on TGCTours.com, back in August '15. I was able to mostly stay out of trouble but my putting was horrible. I decided to play the 4 rounds today so I could get twice as many hours of practice this week, we need it!! 64 - 66 - 73 - 77 (Yeah, that last round got out of hand. I pretty much finished it while drinking a bottle of wine, far from the cameras.) Total = -4. Pretty sure I won't make the cut! Here's myself, reportedly dead-drunk near the 18th green the morning after Sunday. My caddie is nowhere to be seen though and I presume he drank too...he's probably hanging out with my putter, somwhere in intercoastal depths of space. Have a nice week and stay in the fairway! Lino.

-11 -9
-20
I was happy to get to the half way stage of this. I got round, missed my usually 4 or 5 short putts each round. Dunno what it is but there is just something about the course i don't like, maybe its the textures... Very good challenge though.
Anyway, I think i should be good enough for the cut so will lurk, watch or whatever you call it until i know what the cut line is.
Good luck guys

Piece of junk, worthless, flat, no good putting stick thingy. -11 first round, missed several putts by a blade of grass, including a 6' eagle putt. -5 second round, flat stick again killed me with a double bogey. Just hoping I can hang on to make the cut. I love this course, looks great, actually looks easy until you have to make a shot. A thinker's course. Good luck people!

I'm back, after a week where I struggled to get my rounds in, let alone report on them, things have calmed down. Don't worry though, I will keep this short, just a few hundred words or so. I have been dropping a lot of shots lately, and seeing some of the early scores coming in, it's not something I can afford to do today. What I want to happen and what will happen can be two different things though, let's see how it goes today. The first hole went as well as I could have hoped, middle of the fairway, a good approach and tap in birdie. If I can keep that up for the rest of the round all will be good. It did not quite go to plan on the second, my drive was fine, sure a couple of trees in the way for a direct shot at the green but being a web.com player, going around them should not be a problem and in all fairness I did avoid one of them, pity I could not say the same about the other. I played a great third shot though, leaving me a short putt for birdie, a lucky escape but happy to take it. The pin positions and conditions were perfect on the third to put the ball close which I did for birdie number three. I was tempted to cut the water on four but used my grey matter instead. See what I did there, using my grey matter on the grey matter cup, clever right? No, well screw you. Anyway, it proved to be the right choice as I put my approach within three feet to continue my good start. Only one option from the tee on five and as my ball started rolling and rolling away from the cup, I begged the golfing gods to let it roll of the green. They listened for a change. I was left with a flop, a week part of my game and again did not play it as well as I would have liked. I had a tricky enough putt but thankfully it dropped. The second time I pushed my luck today, sooner or later it will push back. It pushed back on the next hole. A easy birdie putt that hit the edge of the cup, rolled around the lip and did not drop. I should never have missed it a birdie thrown away. Mistake number two came on the next hole when I got my yardages wrong and missed the green short. I made par but aaaaaarrrrrgggh. My third par in a row followed, my approach was a little long but still had a birdie chance, I rolled it over the edge of the cup and could only make par. I needed a birdie soon to get back on track and that came on the ninth, it did not come without some nervous moments, to close to the rough with my tee shot, landing to far from the cup for comfort on my approach but my putt was as straight as could be and i headed to the back nine six under.
A poor pitch approach was the my start on the back nine, I hooked it slightly and it rolled away from the hole. I could have done with out the twelve yard breaking putt, I took my time over it and was pleased to see it drop. The second par three of the round played the same as the first one, again great chance to put it close for birdie which I did. The twelfth was a eagle chance, well a eagle chance for those that don't roll up the hill at the back of the green leaving a nightmare downhill putt. I just gently tapped the ball and it rolled way past the cup. I made a good putt coming back though and was grateful for a birdie that did not look possible for a time. A poor birdie putt on thirteen ended that birdie streak, hopefully this time I can avoid a par streak. For the second par five on the back nine, I found myself with a nightmare downhill putt. Now I think of it, the first one was just a unpleasant dream, this one was a true nightmare putt from the darkest depths of the designers grey matter. See what I did there, ah f**k off, no sense of humour any of you. Anyway thirty one inches downhill, extreme break, it simply was not stopping, just a par. I ended up in a bush after my tee shot on fifteen, very clever mister designer, a poison ivy bush. Oh I bet you are getting great pleasure at the thought of landing in that bush but I had the last laugh, between the scratching, I pitched it close for birdie. After covering my body in calamine lotion and despite the protests from my playing partner, the tour officials and fans. I headed to the sixteenth completely in the buff. I could not risk wearing those clothes again. You know, one thing about playing golf in the nude, the club is not the only thing that swings. Sadly letting it all hang out did not improve my game, my approach on sixteen was again a bit to long and I could not make the birdie putt. Seventeen brought a short par three, the sort of distance that causes me problems, add to that a strengthening wind and my tee shot was never going to be close. A fabulous putt though brought a unexpected birdie and a little bit of confidence heading up the last. Sadly I have been banned from showing a video of the putt, something about decency laws. The strong wind on the last meant it was tough to get the ball close. I did not putt myself in position for a last birdie. A huge groan from the grandstands behind me as I bent over to pick up my ball showed that the fans were disappointed to. In fact one lady screamed " the humanity". I still made par but it's nice to know I made such a impression on her.
Eleven under, could have been a couple of shots better but I am not going to complain. It was a steady round with no danger of bogey. I know I have to do the same tomorrow to make the cut but at least I have put myself in a position where a good round will see me through, good luck all.

We're both in the same boat on our exemption visit, I just did it a bit differently. Went -14 but then could only manage a -2 in round 2. Just couldn't get anything going that round. -16 Probably not good enough but at least it was a decent effort. See you back in A next week ?

After a painful couple of months playing along my friend Massimiliano (we enjoy playing his tourney on alternate) in CC he finally managed to end up in WEB. So, as a perk, I get to play some interesting courses instead of boring ones , and also to measure myself against the great talent here in WEB (and test if I'm truly Euro-material) Unfortunately Massimiliano started his adventure with Tye Dunes which is an enduring course if you're used to the latest hit-blindly-CC-courses And he ended up with -10 -3 for a pretty unpleasant -13 which won't probably let him play his first weekend as a webber I on the other hand had a very enjoyable time and -silly mistakes and HB BS apart- got out of R1 and R2 with -27 Shame I won't probably play R3 and R4 to see where I'll end up as my friend won't make the cut.

I think the avarage score for round one is -11 and for round 2 -7. And therefor the expected cut on -18 which leaves us 2 short. We'll be back here....

Shot a -11 60 Rd 1 and a -10 61 Rd 2, still scared of the cut line which is CRAZY. I streamed my rounds this morning with DoubtfulObelisk and another viewer, it was the first time I streamed and it added some weird nerves during the first round. I certainly left a few puts and a few approaches where they should NOT have been in both rounds. I am excited for the last 2 rounds as I think that is where I can make up some strokes, especially on the E setup, which looks like a blast!
Good luck to all others and lets hope the cutline is forgiving (it never is!!)

Well happy with the first round a very solid -14 unbeleavably I missed 4 putts from 9 foot or under aswell but with a 170yard hole out on 16 for eagle and a 25+ foot double breaker on 18 for bird it nearly evened itself out. Cue the wife comes in from work went bogey par first 2 holes in the second round and decided to call it a night haha. More work to be done tomorrow
