The back 9's of the 3rd round killed me I was 6 under after nine....just to finish 62 (-8) for the round. Good thing I toughened up and treated R4 like my little b%& 59 (-11) in the clubhouse and a pretty nice 40 under for the tourney. Can I keep the Top 10 train rollin with this score? *fingers crossed*

Wow... 1st missed cut (by one stroke) for months, and that just before The Masters. I didn't have high expectations in this tourney as I never really played well on this course (for whatever reason). But missing the cut was not what I thought would happen. Shooting a 58 (-12) in Rd3 - which will not count of course - at least shows me that I can do it... I just fail too often lately. Well... let's fly to Augusta! Can't get any worse from now on, right? Just gotta crank it back up next week. I also missed the cut, but next week is a new week with the potential for a very good result. At least that's my mind set after an absolutely horrific outing.

Not sure how but I hadn't really seen anything about the course until coming to play it last night. I wasn't aware Merion had been done at all! Gorgeous course, looks and plays great. I don't know the original course too well but this is excellent in terms of just being a quality course I played 2 very frustrating rounds tbh so far. I actually played very well, I think I maybe only missed 1 putt from within the short to mid range where you expect to hole as well as several long putts. Thing was, I kept making stupid mistakes. I would carelessly tee off and realise immediately I was going to miss the fairway, or convince myself through attempting the maths that I needed to adjust my shot, taking that over my gut and getting it wrong . The second round in particular. I bogeyed early on out of carelessness and only a holeout on 8 I think it was got my score back on track. In the end -10, -8 are scores I'd normally be pretty happy with, but I'm certain with some better concentration I could have done at least a few shots better both rounds, a bit of luck and the short stick kept my score on track Enjoying where my game has come in recent months, I now expect to make cuts and should be getting T25s most weeks... in stark contrast to struggling to get in the T40 on web.com last season Thata guy Patrick, just ride the momentum, seen it quite a few times now with guys that are on web or cc and something clicks and they continue to improve in leaps and bounds, next thing you know they're top 50 and even a few top 25 guys.

Again didn't quite put 4 rounds together, love the course. Just tough enough, but not super firm. A great rendition of Merion, Levassser always nails it. Shot -9, -11, then 3 bogies my 3rd round for a 63, -7, hurt me stopped a top 20 maybe 15. Then a -10 on windy Sunday. -37 Total. Should be a top 25 and good momentum going into next week's minor at Daggenfor Manor. GL Everyone

Congrats Alan! It's about time you won. I've always wondered why you haven't got a win to your name but now you have! Well deserved buddy.

Thanks so much guys, but jeez that was tighter than a gnat's proverbial. I thought I had bombed again after my final rd front 9, but managed a decent back 9. Totally stoked to get an unexpected win.
