Appreciate it! I'm addicted to this damn site already. I've done okay so far. Finished T18 and got an exemption on my first tournament in E (so I guess I'm really still E. -6 in first round of this week's tournament so hope I can keep it going). Saw all those wind charts, club grid calculations, etc, but decided I wanted to go mainly on feel and quick math alone. Not judging anyone who uses that stuff, of course, just felt that would be more fun for my game. Welcome to the site man, some good advice there from Nantez, you can play whatever tour you like and it's great for practice just don't get discouraged by some of the crazy low scores you see, most times they come from top tier players practicing and are not in your tournament even. Just my own bit of advice, ignore those wind/loft charts at your peril, I know you are going for having fun and using feel to get around but you are severely handicapping yourself not using the charts as almost everyone uses them 100% ^^^^^^^This
If you are not using these charts as a beginner you are only handicapping yourself. There will be a time when you rarely check the charts because you will have the yardages you need memorized, but until then use the charts brother. And practice, practice, practice putting. Putting is really the key to the game. Most people who are pretty good at the game will sink 15-20 foot putts like they are 5 footers. Understand the green speeds and how the ball breaks on them (because it is different). Good luck.

What an up and down event for me. Up on exemption and fired off a freaking 56 in round 1 but followed that up with a 67 . Finished 64 & 63 for a total of 30 under. Hopefully that is good enough to earn my B card but I'm disappointed I didn't take better advantage of that first round.

Hi all, Just fininshed my 3rd tournament on TGCT. The 1st one (2 weeks ago) was one to forget. (-4 in total) Last week I did ok, earned my excemption 5 strokes behind Lisa in CC-C. Just finished my 4 rounds for this week's tournament: Round 1: -8 Round 2: -9 Round 3: -10 Round 4: -10 Total: -37 The total score is pretty good but I still feel I dropped some shots which did not need to be dropped. But hey; that's golf right. I hope I earned my B card with this score and that I will be within 10 strokes of top excemption player. Good luck all. nnice scoring lucy, can i ask a favour, can you play my last 2 rounds for me lol. im -5,-4 with the worst luck you can get lol. ive driven 2 par 5's and walked off with pars after the putt shot past the hole and on the 2nd hole in rnd 2, almost drove the green, hit flop perfect only to hit the flag and launch backwards onto the fringe lmao, another par Its a nice fun course, i cant fault it as i scored well in practice but couldnt get putter working. looks like i will at this rate be in the B thread for real next week

I've actually had to "ease up" on my accuracy to stop doing that. I was losing so many shots to balls bouncing 15 feet off a flag hit. One time I did sink an eagle on the fly which was really cool. But the times it backfires on me just isn't worth it. Good luck in your last 2 rounds. Don't give up the ship just yet.

I am confident you will find those excellent approaches. Those are needed because the greens are so fast and they have horrible breaks in them. Good luck with the final 2 rounds.

Don't think you'll be within 10 shots of the top exemption, I think you WILL be the top exemption! Good shooting, you've even got a chance of the outright win with that score. The problem for the rest of us on exemption is we've now got to get to -27 to stay in B, I hope you're pleased with yourself! Thanks a bunch!

My claim to video golf fame in future years when lisared1987 is going head to head with The Machine in the Big Boys (and Girls) tour - I matched her score in round 2 of the Nice Shot Championship at Pittsburgh Field Club We'll gloss over the fact she beat my first round score by 11 shots.... #4InARow

Unlucky lisared1987, beaten by two great finishing rounds from xraylucy. When I saw you'd finished with 60,60 I thought you had a chance. I thought this course was tricky, that's really good shooting. Good luck in CC-A both of you, you certainly deserve to be there. Hopefully I'll catch you up one day.

Did not expect to win this one... but will take it. Have to step it up in CC A however. Hope to see you soon there. However I plan to jump up to Web pretty soon. So hurry up.

You looked a stick on to do well. I am plying my trade in CC-A (a lower mid-table player most weeks) and I couldn't get close to your scores on the practice rounds. You'll do well in this tier.
