Hello all.
Sorry Phyler if I am jumping the gun creating the spoiler thread as I know you normally put it up or one of the other lads in the Bandidos(not sure if thats spelt right).
This weeks course was excellent, I have to say really enjoyed the fast green speeds.
Round 1: -9 Round 2: -7 Round 3: -9 Round 4: -7
Total: -32
Round 4 was the toughest for me as I bogies twice and missed a few putts. I feel the top scores will probably be in the -40 to -45 range on this.
Good luck all!

I'll participate. I played this one on PC (normally on xb). Awesome course. I shot a -42. Not to worry, I am not in CC, just thought I'd add to the chat.

Off topic question, but I'm brand new here - it's okay to play other tours? I'm CC-D, I can play the PGA tour just to see how I stack up/for fun/practice? I don't want to mess up anything with the API, but I guess if I don't submit scores or anything it doesn't matter? if you can access it...you can play it

First of all welcome buddy :-). You are correct you can play whatever tour you like and it is a great way to practice and see how you stack up against the top players, harder courses etc. I would highly recommend you play as many courses as you can and wish you all the best on your quest to the top. If you are struggling the Driving Range thread is a great place to go full of tips on wind calculations, roll out, elevation, chipping and putting tips etc :-)

I'm addicted to this damn site already. I've done okay so far. Finished T18 and got an exemption on my first tournament in E (so I guess I'm really still E. -6 in first round of this week's tournament so hope I can keep it going). Saw all those wind charts, club grid calculations, etc, but decided I wanted to go mainly on feel and quick math alone. Not judging anyone who uses that stuff, of course, just felt that would be more fun for my game. I couldn't agree more man I play better off feel in the wind. I used to up 2 clubs and add a quarter box of high loft for 14mph and up 1 club for 6mph with the same loft and it was working for me anyway.the only thing i use now is divide by 3 for elevation and use the yellow marker for putting, believe me it works I don't 3 putt anymore unless I have a 70+ foot putt. Addicted to the site myself buddy. It's taking over my life hahaha

Welcome to the site man, some good advice there from Nantez, you can play whatever tour you like and it's great for practice just don't get discouraged by some of the crazy low scores you see, most times they come from top tier players practicing and are not in your tournament even. Just my own bit of advice, ignore those wind/loft charts at your peril, I know you are going for having fun and using feel to get around but you are severely handicapping yourself not using the charts as almost everyone uses them

It is actually a very good idea to play the other tours for practice as you'll need to practise different green speeds and firmness. Good luck in your rounds pal.

Hi all, Just fininshed my 3rd tournament on TGCT. The 1st one (2 weeks ago) was one to forget. (-4 in total) Last week I did ok, earned my excemption 5 strokes behind Lisa in CC-C. Just finished my 4 rounds for this week's tournament:
Round 1: -8 Round 2: -9 Round 3: -10 Round 4: -10
Total: -37
The total score is pretty good but I still feel I dropped some shots which did not need to be dropped. But hey; that's golf right. I hope I earned my B card with this score and that I will be within 10 strokes of top excemption player.
Good luck all.
