Well, played the first 2 rounds and I'm fried. I at least gave myself a chance.
Round 1 – 64 Round 2 – 62
Total 18 under through 2. Should be good enough to keep from earning a strike in this ridiculously competitive tier. The scores in C are off the charts. In fact, I think they're the best or close to the best of all the tiers.
I'll do the last 2 rounds tomorrow.
PS - I'll be able to relax when I'm back in D where I belong.

For anybody interested, I've done the quick math for CC-C.
Here are the numbers you're going to probably need to hit for the various cutoffs.
To Earn Exemption To B Class: 38 under or better
To Clear Strikes: 33 to 37 under
To Avoid Demotion Strike: 24 to 28 under
Good luck!

We're back to regular exemptions and demotions now. To get an exemption into the next class (except from A to Web and Z to E) you need to be in the top 10% of the field. A and Z, you need to be in the top 5% of the field. In order to not get a demotion strike, you need to be in the top 60% of the field. In order to clear any demotion strikes that you have, you need to be in the top 22.5% of the field. Hope this helps anybody who is a little confused. We're going to put the default values in the Rules/Policies page - This is the standard we are going to use going forward. Default % (of total field) to earn an exemption:Web.com 5% CC-A 5% CC-B 15% CC-C 15% CC-D 15% CC-E 15% CC-Z 10% To earn card while on exemptionChallenge Circuit: must finish Top 70 and be within 10 shots of top exempted player Web.com: Make the cut Moving Months - % (of total field) to earn an exemption:
Web.com 10% CC-A 10% CC-B 30% CC-C 30% CC-D 30% CC-E 30% CC-Z 20% To earn card while on exemptionChallenge Circuit: must finish Top 70 and be within 15 shots of top exempted player Web.com: Make the cut Demotion strikes %Demotion strikes line will be given to the bottom 50% of the field going forward - for both default and moving months. Clear strikes %Clear strikes line will be at 22.5% of field for all flights during normal months and CC-A during moving months. CC-B to E will be 30% (exemption line) during moving months. *** %'s are subject to change (looking at you Web.com & CC-A) as required

So demotion strikes are going from 60% to 50%? Oh crap. Yes, half the field will get a demotion strike - same as moving month - going forward. Keep in mind this includes those that don't tee off/submit scores.

Lots of players never submit so it turns out about the same as the way I used to do it. I never counted those folks.

Just so everyone knows.. I shot a -10 for a -82 just now. Not sure what happened. I shot a 62 but my PS4 glitched out and showed the -82. Too bad I can't use that and just shoot my way into CC-A. LOL

It's equal to the best score on the entire Xbox leaderboard for round 2 at the moment! I've gone 61,65 so I'll join you on -18 tomorrow morning. Really have no idea where that will put us!

Not getting my hopes up. Scores are insane. It's an easy course except for Saturday and Sunday where the pin positions are a b%&, which is why I've put them off until today. And with a whole week of practice, I still have no idea how to tackle some of them. Just about every hole, the pin is tucked to the front and I'm pretty sure the fairways have been firmed up for these rounds as well. Had one ball land about 10 yards from the pin on the fairway in practice (forget the hole) and it ended up in the back of the green giving me about a 50 foot putt. Crazy. The last 2 rounds will separate the men from the boys and I don't expect to be one of the ones left standing. I've never done better than 4 to 6 under on those days with many rounds just over par. I'm going to need to shoot 10 under over the next two days just to keep from getting a strike, according to my calculations. That's not going to be easy for me. Anyway, after breakfast, I'm going in. Wish me luck.

Well, it's done. If nothing else, I couldn't have played any better than I did the last two rounds. The pin positions (not to mention round 3's winds) were just too much for my limited ability.
My scores:
Round 1 – 64 Round 2 – 62 Round 3 – 71 Round 4 – 68
Total - 23 under
That's my 2nd best score ever on this course counting all my practice tours. Best was 27 under.
According to my calculations, this will leave me one stroke short of avoiding a demotion strike when this is all over.
CC-C is above my skill level for now. Hopefully, in a few weeks, I'll have my 3rd strike and back in D where I belong.
I know I did my very best and that's all that matters.

If your calculations are based on round one where the scoring was relatively easy then you might be pleasantly surprised. I can't speak for 3 and 4 because I haven't played them yet, but of the 70+ people who have played on Xbox -18 would have you in a share of 5th after 2, and bear in mind that's including players from A and B. Chill @wagtunes, you've done well! My issue is I'm struggling to judge the roll out on these firm greens, I'm either going well past the pin or checking up too much and leaving it short. Bet I'm not the only one!

Chill @wagtunes , you've done well! My issue is I'm struggling to judge the roll out on these firm greens, I'm either going well past the pin or checking up too much and leaving it short. Bet I'm not the only one! My calculations take into account the expected drop in scores for rounds 3 and 4. The strike line players shooting 18 under the first two rounds should shoot 10 under combined for rounds 3 and 4 for 28 under. I estimate 24 to 28 under is going to be the cutoff. Also, I checked the PC scores so far after I finished. I was close to the bottom of the above the line players. It's going to be close. There is no question about it. Unfortunately, this course plays so differently between the first 2 and last 2 rounds that it's harder to estimate than in previous weeks. But as a big time math geek going on over 35 years, I've been pretty close on my calls so far. Check out older threads, my predictions, and the actual results. I only need about 30 data points to do this. My biggest surprise was a few weeks ago when I finished T3 in E Class. I thought the scores would be low before seeing anything. Then round 1 was posted and I was stunned at how high they were. That was my first clue that I was finally getting good enough to climb out of E and into D. Ultimately, it was a very relaxing tournament going in as I didn't have to kill myself to do well. This week is a completely different story. I knew I had to shoot 10 under round 1 to compete. I didn't. I only shot 8 under. That put me into an immediate hole. My 2nd round saved me. But I also knew I needed to shoot 10 under the last 2 rounds. I didn't. The 1 under round 3 is going to kill me. No matter how much higher the scores may be in that round, the guys I needed to keep pace with all shot at least 4 under. Three shots is a ton this week. Had I shot 3 under that round, yeah, I'd probably end up above the strike line. Now? It's pretty much a crap shoot. And FTR, I don't know how anybody shot much under par in round 3. Most brutal conditions I've played in, in I don't knwo how long. And yet, there were these guys shooting their 8 and 10 under pars. Unreal.
