This is a copy and paste from the HB studios PS4 forum that I just posted. I have been so frustrated playing with friends the last couple of years, everybody else playing is seeing the shots more or less as they happen. With me it has been, "did you make it?" "still seeing your golfer waggle in the fairway" "I'll have to disable then enable turn enabled" "I'll just change rivals, remove you then add you back" Just constant waiting and messing about in the menus. Today I put my router in "modem" mode (I just googled - how to putt my router in modem mode), plugged the ethernet cable from my PS4 into the main ethernet port on my router, nothing happened, I couldn't get an internet connection at all. I then powered down completely my PS4, then rebooted the router/modem, booted up my PS4 and I had connection and a NAT type 1 I then decided to see if anything had changed. I played a round with Furzoo at Lytham and it went very smoothly, just as good as it has been playing on PC. I didn't have to wait once in 18 holes, that's never happened before. I've only played one round so far, so it's not definitely solved, but it is looking good. Now I have to hope that if I run all of my network devices though a switch, they will all work at the same time? I'm ordering another ethernet cable to see if that will work. That's the only problem at the moment, whether I will have to manually switch cables etc, every time that I want to play multiplayer on PS4?

Was your test with Fuzion a basic Strokeplay game or Matchplay? We played regular strokeplay. I haven't tried matchplay yet, but I would be interested to try that out now, as we are playing a matchplay league on PS4 ATM. By the way, it was with Furzoo, not Fuzion I guess that certain routers are holding up the package being sent by other players when playing live? The router that I am using is the Netgear VMDG480v2, which is a virginmedia super hub. Most people on my friends list are playing TGC through a router and have no problems at all playing live. I have tried opening ports and putting the PS4 in DMZ mode, when it's in router mode, but it doesn't seem to work. I've tried turning off the firewall too. As soon as I put it in modem mode, the golf club played great.
