let me be the 1st to say that avatar is creepy as hell Thanks. LOL. Anyway, gave my new tour setup a spin Round 1 - 6 under Round 2 - 1 under (winds) Round 3 - 1 over (winds) Round 4 - 2 under Total - 8 under By the 4th round I was just plain exhausted from rounds 2 and 3. Playing this course in strong winds is just brutal. Too many twisty fairways make hitting them a crap shoot. Having said that, I do love this course. It's a great challenge in the winds. If they're calm, I expect 40 under or better to take this in D class and 20 under to be demotion strike line. This may turn out to be a tough week for me if I can't somehow tame this beast. Played 2 rounds of your set up Wags -9 -7 -16 through 2..should be closer to -20+

Well, did a little better this time out. 14 under. I'm getting better with the winds after taking out the cheat sheets and studying them a little more but my putting is just plain erratic. I made a 47 footer and the very next hole missed a 9 footer. That's pretty much what my game has come down to. No matter how close I get to the flag, if I'm not within 4 feet, it's a crap shoot for me. If I misread the green by just a fraction, that's all it takes. I can't count how many putts I've missed between 3 and 6 inches.
So until I can get my putting more consistent, I'm pretty much going to be a D-E class player.

Played another 4 rounds. Another 14 under.
Going to need to find another 6 strokes to avoid getting a strike on this one as I estimate 20 under in D Class is going to be the strike line.
Putting is still my weak link. I shouldn't be missing anything under 10 feet at this point. Certainly no 4 and 5 footers no matter how bad the break is.
Just have to keep practicing my putting until it gets to where it needs to be.

But you do need to sink around 90% of them to score well

Well, I worked really hard on my game this week. Got out all the charts and went full commando math on this game including developing a putting system that I'm still in the process of perfecting. But early results are very encouraging.
Case in point, I went back to this practice tour (Wagtunes CC 22) and played a few more rounds since changing my system of play.
Here are before and after comparisons of scores.
Before: 3 rounds. Score range: 8 under to 14 under per tournament
After: 3 rounds. Score range: 19 under to 24 under per tournament
That's a good 10 stroke improvement.
Hurricane winds still give me problems with approach shots. My last practice tour (my best result) was 10 under, even par, 5 under and 9 under. The second round was the worst winds and the third round was the worst pin positions.
Overall, feeling really good about my game right now.
We'll see what happens on Monday when I tackle this one for real.

Not meaning to shamelessly plug my own practice Tour...but I really think people should cue up my practice tournament. The winds are tougher and more indicative of what we could see come the live tournament..especially on the 2 tougher pins (day 3 and 4)
-21 on mine...average in the -30's on the other 2

Found the tour Jim. Some tough winds on this one.
Round 1 - 9 under Round 2 - 3 under Round 3 - 7 under Round 4 - 2 under
Total - 21 under
Had some really bad breaks that last round including hitting the pin a flop that cost me a birdie. Ball came back about 20 feet. I can't even count how many pins I hit now. I think I have to ease up on the accuracy. LOL.
Anyway, I think I'm ready for this one.

Gave this one more practice before I tee off Monday
Round 1 - 7 under Round 2 - 4 under Round 3 - 7 under Round 4 - 9 under
Total - 27 under
That's my best to date. I think I'm ready. If the winds are really bad throughout, I should still hit 15 under or better. We'll see how good that is depending on where I am next week. Right now, it could be either C or D.

I'm probably going to put a couple tours worth of practice before I tee off on Monday myself. Was able to shoot -7 through the first 9 in the first round on your setup before I had to go run errands, Wag.

Don't want to have to beat that kind of scoring next week. I won't have a prayer. LOL. Anyway, great shooting and good luck on the tour.
