(lessangster) Les, you are going to get hot with the flatstick one week and blow everyone away! Pulling for you as always. I was glad my week at Spectacle Island was over, and then I found out we are playing there in the LGGT this week, giving me back to back weeks of that monster. Doe Coba, I will be pulling for you as well and welcome to the Euro. You will get tired ( real quick ) of not having a chance to win each week. ( just kidding Ian and Bradley. ) Good luck the rest of this week! Billy the flat stick is where I lose 95% of my shots against the big boys if I ever get it together one week they better look out lol. I don't think I've ever had under 27 putts in a round even in my better rounds. I'm working on putting from a different viewpoint than the default one and it feels a lot better, my second round this week I wasn't good tee to green and the best putting in the world wouldn't have helped. Gonna register for next weeks tournament but I'm not sure what's happening the week after as I'm getting a knee replacement so I might miss a week. The plus side I had four reasonable rounds on TST this week.

Friday is very tricky, although it doesn't appear so. High winds plus tricky pins can royally screw you over! Thurs/Sun are the scorer days imo. Thursday & Friday were perfect conditions for the way I like to play, hence the scoring. Unfortunately, Saturday & Sunday were back to rock hard greens again, (hate these conditions), and my game showed.

Bit of a write-off for me this week. I was 5 shots off the leaders by the 9th hole and kind of knew the game was up straight away - one of the downsides of teeing off later in the week knowing you need huge scoring in your opening round. Second round was just as bad tbh but I was almost speed golfing at that point, let my frustration get the better of me.
-15 after two rounds so waiting on the cut this week and I actually played ok for the final two rounds but nothing special - the fact I was -13 for these rounds in windy / firm conditions says it all about how bad I was in R1&2.
-28 finish and if I guess if your's going to have a bad week do it in a minor event where WGR points are minimal anyway. Will have to get some practice in for next week and get my stroke going again.
Well played to anyone who has made the mid-20s after two rounds and given themselves a chance for the weekend. The greens on this are tricky and the rounds are definitely worth a proper practice this week. There are some subtle dangers that can be avoided by finding the right spots on the fairways and I thought overall this was a fantastic course that got the better of me this time.

Looks like I'm safe for the cut line. After fiddling around with my new PC for the past few days it will be interesting to see how it affects my game when I jump back on the PS4.

-34 to finish. Disappointing last round of -4, well played those shooting double digits! Happy with the score overall, can the top guys play on their own every week?

Much better week for me, probably gonna be my second highest finish on the Euro. Started well with -12 but with so many shooting low I knew I still had to get it done in round 2. With the winds up I was nervous because too often I've struggled, but the gods were smiling and I finished -10, but it could and should have been at least 2 shots better. For the first time in many weeks I didn't have to keep my fingers crossed while watching where the cut would come. I knew rounds 3 and 4 would see a return to hard greens, so I set myself a target of -5 for each round and maybe a top 40 finish. Well I bettered that with two rounds of -6 for a -34 finish. Currently top 10 on PS4, but I know there's loads of players still to finish. Still, it's not often I break 30 under for a tournament so wherever I finish, I'm more than happy with a solid performance.

Round 3 sucked for me. Some pretty brutal winds combined with firm greens made for a tough round.
RD1: -15 RD2: -11 RD3: -4
So sitting at -30. Hopefully I can put in a good round 4.

I'll admit it, I had to google "copse" to find out the meaning and pronunciation. I'll also admit I just butchered the word pronunciation, but spell checker bailed me out. No, I'm pretty sure it's pronounced CORRR-PSSS. You might find mine in the front face of the 13th green. Started out with average golf on the first nine, then played well over the next 27 holes. Went -9, -10 for two solid, if unspectacular rounds. Then my golfer got hit by a truck heading to the first tee in round 3. A stunt double took his place and started spraying balls all over the golf course - even once confusing a 7I for a 9I - leaving many downhill chips and putts. Just an awful display of virtual golf over the weekend. R1: -9 R2: -10 R3: -1 R4: E To: -20

Seriously was the most ridiculous pair of rounds I've ever had on tour. Played my first and only practice round on Tour A version late last night and shot -13 in low winds. Realised I hadn't even registered to play so I did that and headed off to the first tee. At only -2 after 4, missing some easy putts, I thought it just wasn't going to happen, but an eagle and 4 birdies saw me at -8 at the turn. Eventually ending with a -15! Great, I can shoot 1 shot worse in round 2 and take the lead for the first time ever... So round 2 started fast... with 2 birdies and then that was it. The whole round... not a single birdie more! Two stupid bogies and I end up at level. I scrape the cut on the line. I think the subtle change in green speed did it, I lipped out everything, but I also kept giving myself downhill sidehill putts. What an idiot! I have no idea if I would have done better with a practice round on Tour B, but I wish I had had one For amusement: My scorecardsAs for the course, I thought I had played it before, apparently not because it looked stunning from the very first tee and I'm certain I'd have remembered it . Great work Ola, however your greens were a b*&%£ to me

It's a birdie fest for sure with the medium settings and birdie or better is available on every hole, but only if you place yourself below the hole. It's in the course description. Easy course, but it will bite if not careful You have played 3 holes before at least. It was in the showcase tour. Different set up with Max speed on the greens though

Shocking memory. That first tee shot looks amazing and I knew I hadn't seen that one before! I had nothing against the course on that second round... I'm sure frustration cost me 5 shots at least but that was at myself... I just couldn't break that par train except to bogey :-D. I do like a course that rewards good play and punishes bad play like this does, I deserved what I got

I really struggled on the weekend setup here. My approach shots very rarely held the greens, and when i managed to get it within 10 ft, it was almost always a sidewinder or a double break.
Taking away a few euros after making the cut, and heading back to the web.com for more conditioning.

I could not have enjoyed that last round any less. I have never sat through entire round wishing it was over until just right now. Good luck to everyone else.

First of all, Ola - great course. I really like playing it and think it has some lovely challenging holes, love the 16th dispite my bogey in round 1 I also appreciate the sense for the lanscape and detail to create it natural - great job. Just finished round 3 with a 67. Messed up on the par 5's and bogeyed both 2nd and 11th. I also bogeyed 6th and was +2 by then but finished front nine with birdie-eagle-birdie so 2 under at the turn. After my bogey on 11th managed 3 more birdies so close to expected although hoped I could avoid the bogeys. Maybe in round 4.

Round 4 the most solid this week. Apart from drive OB and a double bogey on 4th it was solid play with 8 birdies and a 65. -26 total score. Good luck next week to everyone.
