Well, I left it all out there on the course today. And while I didn't shoot off the charts, I'm content with my showing. It was a clean 4 rounds.
Round 1 – 68
Round 2 – 70
Round 3 – 70
Round 4 – 67
Total - 13 under.
Based on the results so far, doing my usually spot on statistical analysis, an average of 3 under per round will be good enough to get you into the top 30% and an exemption for next week. You'll need to shoot around par to avoid a demotion strike.
Tough course. The greens are tricky, Lots of long par 4s. Narrow winding fairways on some hole provide extra challenge, especially when the wind is blowing. Fortunately, not hurricane winds in this one. Round 1 is the easiest. You really need to shoot as well as you can there. I blew this due to nerves on my early putts. I left about 5 or 6 out there that I should have easily sunk.
Key to this course is playing it safe and laying up where you have to. Don't take chances. A ball in the rough or sand here is disaster. Trust me on this. Lay up on all par 5s, no matter how tempted you are to go for the green in two. On many, you won't reach and will end up in the sand.
With proper course management, there is no reason for even us E Class dwellers to not break par.
Good luck!

Well wag, based on your theory that I'll be soon in PGA, and as long as we've both shot the same total score... You do the maths

Nice shooting Wags.
I'm glad you decided to play it, I was watching you do the math and to be honest I thought you were spending too much energy on stressing over the numbers. Just go out there and give it your best. You did and your score reflects that. I just looked at your scorecard, and no bogeys. So well done there.
From what I have seen on the in game leader boards (I have a ps4 as well) not many have broken -30. This is going to be one where -25'ish is common among all tiers.
A lot of people seem to have come out strong in their first rounds, then from what I've seen in the threads here, struggled more in rounds 2, 3 and 4. I'm lucky enough to have been consistent all the way through. Currently sitting in 30'th place lol, but know I'm going to climb. How much I don't know, or care. I gave it all I got on this course, one which I really struggled with due to have a bit of slice/fade that I struggle with and where ever I end up I'll be happy. Unless I get a strike then I'm going to have a tantrum and blow up all over this forum...joking, I'll still have a tantrum, but will keep it to myself and the old lady across the street, I'll go scream at her and steal her cat.
And for what it's worth, I think this was probably one of the toughest courses we have played in this tour. (baring Loa Pali, before the wind fix, narrow fairways and 20mph winds) Bare in mind I've been here for 13 months and played every single tournament since joining, around 60 or so. So from this point on the rest is gravy for you, you did well on a very tough course. Let it build your confidence and build on it.

I know we're on different tiers now but I'll certainly be keeping tabs on you and very much look forward to seeing you rise up the ladder. Well done again ol' chap!
