Hello all.
Sorry for my ignorance if this is obvious but I am new and I don't play golf in real life.
But I have seen a few terms on the forums that I have no clue what they mean
for instance
Sandbagger Lurkers Watchers
I assume (S) stands for sandbagger but is their an (L) for what ever Lurker means and I'm guessing a watcher is like a spectator?
Again sorry if this sounds stupid just trying to learn the terms.

You are correct about sand bagger, the other two terms seem to be mainly used on the web and are kind of fun terms for certain type of players. I will copy and paste a post explaining these terms from your friend MoSlorkman
"A Watcher " watches the leaderboard for info and only plays wed-thurs & Saturday.
"A Waiter" plays early but doesn't post scores to last minute
"A Lurker" late registers plays late and gains info from forum "A Watcher" on steroids if you will.
I only new to the web but I think they terms were coined to add a little fun to the posts there.

(S) on the leaderboard stands for Sponsors Exemption. Nothing to do with sandbagging.
A sandbagger is someone who tries to play inferior competition just for an easy win. It also could be someone who is playing worse than they are capable of deliberately to not move up to a higher level tour.

Ah right, thanks SwAermotion I was told by one of my friends that the S stood for sandbaggers and that they were all playing due to a rule change. Wasn't sure whether to believe him which is why I asked. I'll be sure to give out to him for misguiding me on the term.

(S) on the leaderboard stands for Sponsors Exemption. Nothing to do with sandbagging. Some would argue the (S) on the leader board does indeed stand for sandbagger

Probably that Moe lad sure I was having a few drinks with him and he said under the new rule change for Wgr points the sandbaggers would be flying out of the lower tiers like flies to shite ;-)
