Ugh.
You guys going low and making the course sound "beatable" has me really beating myself up after my first round of a 69!
I feel worse knowing out of my 3 practice rounds for the Thursday setup, a 62 was my worst score.
Oh well. Good luck fellas!

Firstly I don't see why the cut been in the 20s as there's so much places that can make a man cry around this course.
Round one I started with a flurry of birdies and was saying this will be my week. Then on the par 5 my usual luck kicked in seen my 2nd catch a downslope as fly threw the green. Set up my flop struck it, it pitched one bounce struck the base of the pin little fist pump for me eagle then when I looked back seen my ball had spun out of the hole uphill 16ft! Wtf! Heard the kudunk and everything how didn't it drop? After that it dryed out finished a respectable-8.
Round 2 knew I needed fireworks instead I got funsnaps had a bunch of approaches finish up with in a foot of the pin. One thing I was happy with was when I got out of shape my scrambling was back to its best. -12
-20 after 2 . No Dropped shots , No Snakes (3 putts).
My predictions Winner -48 Top 5 -44 Top 30 -34 Cutline -18

Moe, I think you are overly optimistic predicting a cut line of -18! Played 2 rounds early on Saturday and waiting to see where the cut line is moving before finishing up. Did not set the place on fire, made absolutely nothing except for a chip-in eagle on the 1st in rd 1. Other than that it was more a question of missed putts and an 81% swing on 1 of the par 3's costing me. What should have been an ace became a 3 putt double from inside 6 ft Finished 61, 60 in spite of missing a bunch, normally I'd be jumping with joy with such scores, but I'm not convinced at this stage it will be good enough for the cut. Hoping it does though. btw - saw this morning i received an unexpected exemption after finishing T16 last week, anyone else of t16's received one too? Can't be right, posted a question in Bugs forum. Either way, if the exemption is valid it be the ideal week to use it on Euro as it seems as if all and sundry went to play Pebble on PGA, opening a better chance to make the cut on Euro. Wished I hadn't played my 1st 2 rounds on Web already or i'd be over there in a flash. Good luck everyone, have fun.

Exemptions were 10% of max field so top 20 plus ties got them last week just had this clarified

Crazy Croc, I got an exemption from last week for 20th and was sure there was some sort of mistake, I am registered for the next 3 web events so held off to see if this was genuine or just a bug like you said. There has been not much talk at all about it on here and I found out today that they gave exemptions for 10% of the max field and the exemption stands so I registered to play on the Euro tour this week. I'm not too sure that it will be any easier this week on Euro as the Royal Birkdale course is extremely tough and it is fast and firm too and presents a proper challenge.

These low scores have me worried a little about my round, mistakes are going to be a big no no here. After my complete loss of focus last week, the pressure is on to figure out why I have been making so many silly mistakes lately and just two rounds to do it in. Let's see how the first round goes. A birdie on the first is a must, with such a short second shot, the ball has to land close to the cup, no issues for me here, a nice settling in hole. The second, while having a slightly longer approach, is another pitch and putt hole. My pitch could have landed closer but my putt easy enough, two under. Another birdie on three before my first mistake on the fourth, my approach hit the mound before the green and bounced back into the bunker, if it had bounced forward, it could have been a very good shot, but it did not and a disappointing par was the result. My approach on the fifth confused the hell out of me, I could not work out what club and shot type to play. My head still hurts thinking about it, in the end, I chose badly, was well short and only managed par. I got back on track at the sixth with a good tee shot that left a short birdie putt. After my mistake on the first par five, and a similar bunker placement in front of the green on the seventh, I decided to play safe. I took a iron for my second shot and hit the ball right to avoid the bunker which I did, it's just a pity I paid no attention to the bunker right of the green( note to self, some holes have more than one bunker, crazy I know but designers are weird). Thankfully this time my bunker shot was good and birdie was made. My pitch to the green on eight was really good until the ball landed, stupid ball kept on rolling, my birdie then stopped dead for no other reason other than to mess with me, it did not roll at all, just came to a complete sudden stop, just a par. After the ninth, I threw that ball into the ocean, it just had a mind of its own, break lines going right to left, ball goes straight. The ball had to go, a average five under for the front nine, mid round report card " Daniel Sheehan while a charming and handsome young middle aged man and a world class golfer in his own mind, tends to live in a fantasy world where golf balls are are sentient life forms, he needs to get his head out of the clouds and apply himself more to the task at hand, he is easily distracted and loses focus, could do better."
I tore up my report card before my parents could see it, no way was I getting grounded, fantasy world, what a load of bull. Anyway, I ran to the tenth tee just in case that ball could swim and followed me. I hit my tee shot straight down the middle of the fairway, which proves it was the ball and not me, my approach was perfect and easy birdie was made. I did not find the bunker on the par five eleventh, after a celebratory beer and victory dance, I went on to birdie the hole. It took a couple of holes for the beer to wear off, two poor approaches led to two pars. It was not until the fourteenth before I put another yellow number on my score card. The fifteenth played tough with that strong headwind, I left myself with a horrible downhill putt for birdie and was grateful to make par. A poor tee shot failed to find the green on sixteen, another par, way to many pars this round, so I decided to stop for a early lunch, the people playing behind moaned a little about being held up but f**k them, I was hungry. It seems I have to apologise to the golfers behind or get kicked off the tour, so sorry for not wanting to fade away to skin and bones through starvation you bunch of moaning little s**ts. It seems I have to apologise for using foul and abusive language on the course, sorry. At least my sandwich was good. Par again on seventeen but this time I was lucky to get away with that. I finished the back nine with some boring unadventurous play to make sure I picked up one last shot to bring my score to nine under.
I played ok, no dropped shots so that was good but nine under means a pressure round tomorrow where mistakes will have me missing the cut. Maybe tomorrow I will have to get my head out of the clouds or maybe not worry about the cut and just have fun. But for now, I have more important things to worry about, stormy weather has caused problems in Cork, puppy dogs and grannies need to be rescued, Batdan away.

Beautiful looking course but not my cup of tea. Really disliked the lighting. RD 2 was almost night golf. The bunkers were mostly bowls with mounds and the greens felt like a magic mountain roller coaster. I don't practice before playing so these types of courses give me problems, but that's my issue. I do like the variety of courses being implemented but this one seemed unlike any real course I have ever played. Can't like them all I guess. Good luck fellas
