Well I half jokingly said I would do a watchers report for Euro this week but after getting a like from the World No.1 I have to don't I
First Ever Watchers Eve Watchers Report EuroWith 35 Watchers left to play coincidently the same as in Web just proving there is equal amounts of Watchery riddled throughout the TGC community! The Watcher Safe Zone is current just at -11 which could be affected by any Lurkers rising from the gorse ditches around Birkdale. -10 has a 85% shot of making the weekend were we see HeMan1202 up on exemption using all the powers of the greyskull to win his Euro card. We also see The scourge of Web up here on his battlefield promotion and with 8 exemptions hung up above his fireplace Ratna Syamsuhir. -9 59% shot at making the weekend we see Wildrover who appears to be having an average tournament and in danger of getting cut before the weekend. Maybe he is just replicating Louis Van Gaal to show his support? -8 38% shot for nantez88 to make the weekend looks like another tight one for the original "Nearly Boy" -7 32% for McDonald Brother number 2 feng187 (Ill get abuse for calling him number 2) to earn his Euro Card an leave me abandoned on Web wallowing in self pitty, drinking myself to sleep singing "all by myself" and thinking of the good times . *cough* I digress -6 11% an no hope of the weekend sorry lads. -5 all cut This brought a smile to my face!! good report!!

That's my rounds done:
Round 1: -3 (67) Went in cold like an idiot and couldn't make a putt Round 2: -11 (59) Pitch and putt yay! Round 3: -8 (62) Those winds the first few holes, sheesh Round 4: -5 (65) Some cruel pin placements, and I'll honestly be glad never to see that horrific 18th hole placement again.
So -27 total, better than what I aimed for, hopefully a top 20ish. Good luck to all!

Watchers Eve Evening Watchers Report Euro
With 30 Watchers left to play including The world number 2 and "Big Bad Bob Balllllllllzhiser" or @swaeromotion to everyone the tide is rising on the cutline threaders The Watcher Safe Zone is still at -11 and now fairly Lurkerproof they can rest easy and get there weekend rounds in. -10 has a 87% up 2 % it appears to be nailed on for HeMan1202 to get his Euro card !-9 57% down 2% Only Leaves me with one question : Will Mcgettigan get got or get away from the Watchers grasp?-8 30% down 8% Could be a week to avoid the McDonald house (Well houses they don't live together) as nantez88 is slipping into the grasp of the watchers -7 23% down 9% McDonald number 2 feng187 's dreams of a Euro Card seem to be slipping away for now and slinky783 looks like he'll get sligged again -6 as I said no hope and now its confirmed !!!

I think the World no.2's eyes must have fallen out by now from watching Mr. Sweeny's score at the top, I might not have to worry about him beating my score, then again he probably would beat it playing blind

After playing last week I caught the bug of tournament golf again. 1st round saw the return of 2 Putt Shakur, couldn't hole anything of length and the only bogey was on the 18th when my flop shot hit the damn flag and rolled back 12 or so feet. Ended up -3. Round 2 was on fire and holing every long putt early on, -6 after 5. Then cooled off a bit, managed -13 which included a par at the short PW par 3 into a 1 mph wind (pushed it somehow) and had an eagle putt on 17 which just missed the cup, rolled 2 feet by and then kept going and rolled off the green so only made par. Was going to stop after hitting my drive on the 1st hole of R3 but after it just rolled into the rough I stupidly carried on and after 2 bogies and 2 birdies I'm Even after 8 holes I think......I might have 1 GIR lol. Gonna try to salvage -2 or 3 for the rest of the round and get near -25 overall, doubt I can though as I suck on fast/firm courses. Great score by Cairnsy, I'd only get near that if 3 of the rounds had soft greens. Good to see you back bud.

Watchers Eve Nighttime Watchers Report Euro Firstly I shouldn't be allowed to post in here after my disgraceful last 2 rounds in Web. In position to make a charge at an exemption and the only charge I made was towards each item of furniture in my sitting room to drive it a kick as I couldn't snap my virtual putter over my knee. With 25 Watchers left to play (same as web) with pyates designer of the amazing Tye Dunes and Ratna Syamsuhir sorry Steve Williams always get them mixed up still to tee off its going to be a rough day and a bit for the cutline threaders The Watcher Safe Zone is amazingly still at -11 but well clear of Lurker range. -10 has a 96% up 9 % So I would like to congratulate HeMan1202 on earning his Euro Card (one less guy to beat me every week) -9 60% up 3% Leaving Lee Some room for manoeuvre see what I done there . Terrible I know but couldn't pick on Wildrover again! -8 24% down 6% is nantez88 and Darren Rutherford sharing a table for just 2. Maybe this could lead to a pitcher for 2, a room for 2, a bed for 2, a double ended -7 16% down 7% its looking like its only a weeks vacation from web for feng187 & slinky783 so thats 2 places lower I will finish next week -6 Cut I will keep you's updated tomorrow but It saddens me It may only be a once off due to my inferior putting ability .

Haha, yes I'm most certainly a watcher. It does come from the vague hope that I'll find time for more practice rounds but I rarely get more than one. All too often I'm playing my rounds before bed and on the odd occasion I've nodded off and woken up about 30mins before the deadline with only 6 holes down... I remember once I speed golfed my way to a missed cut... another time I would have made the cut but ran out of time :-D
Loving Birkdale though, great course, closest to a proper British links course that I've played on TGC. Need to make a cut this week, I have a long term target of top 100 WGR and I've slipped out of the top 200 recently, looks like -10 is the target... although by the time I play I'll probably know exactly :-D

And Andrea my heart is with Euro just my green reading abilities are those of a very old 3 legged naked mole rat.

Thought I'd have a chance of at least beating you until you put in that great round up in the 4th. Looking forward to Muirfield next week and posting some more -2's on the firm/fast rounds, hopefully Friday is soft so I can make the cut
I see the banters still alive on the Euro Tour, maybe Bob will come back and do some Player Profiles like STD did? Plenty of new recruits to sign up for a Euro Vs PGA Tour at the end of the year too, get your Ole's warming up

What a lovely setup we had this week! Very glad I came over to play this one now that I finished.
Lately I have been splitting my rounds up 2 one day and the other 2 another day. Today I just wanted to keep playing and played all four. For whatever reason I was nervous to start this one the last few days and kind of waited (or is that 'watched'?).
Round one I played fairy solid in the Dry/Firm setup. Got off to a fast start at -5 through 8 holes. Unfortunately the last ten holes was mostly a par train broken up by birdies on the two par 5s. Finished with a -7 (63).
Round two was the setup for scoring. While it was my best score of the four, I was a little disappointed in my round as I was improperly judging sidehill lies on my approaches and leaving myself 15-20 footers. Felt like I left 2 or three shots out there despite finishing with a -9 (61).
Round three and this is where I normally stop. Promptly dumped a shot on #1 and #3 to sit +2 after three. Righted the ship to put up seven birdies the rest of the way with no more dropped shots. Ended that round -5 (65).
Last round was another solid, if unspectacular one similar to round one. Picked off birdies where you should and got one or two more along the way to a -8 (62).
Totals: 63-61-65-62 for a -29.
See you all again next week as I am in the field @ Muirfield.

Played a wonderful 3rd round 62. Felt it should have been 60 or 59 but oh well. I am on exemption this week and to be sitting at -28 after 3 rounds I am thrilled. Played in 1 Euro event last year and then life happened and didn't play for the last 5 months and got demoted. Excited to get my card back and hopefully finish in the top ten this week. This is an amazing course, the best true links style course I have played.

Well my decline continues, first cut missed in almost a year. +2, then -8 to miss the cut by 2 or 3 in the end I'm guessing. Gotta say, I'll probably end up playing the 3rd and 4th rounds, just for fun. I think this course is almost a perfect links/firm set-up, at no point did I think anything was goofy, very fair but challenging set-up, I just played terrible. Thanks for the course and best of luck to those who are sticking around for the weekend.
