Tbh mate i think its a pro tour player annoyance....its hyper competitive on the pro tours and nobody wants other players gettin info from the gud shots of ghost balls. Which is fair enough in my opinion. I actually used your ghost balls my opening 2 rounds Lol...bet they wern as useful as ud hoped....haha

What? What purpose does it serve now? If ur depending on ghosts to be able to compete maybe we can ask for an update where the ghosts can take ur shots for you, lol I hear ya! I might as well let them hit my shots! LOL But seriously, i'm still trying to figure out the motive for ghost removal. I don't understand this crusade against players using ghosts. I remember watching one of the top players on tour during the Cuyahoga event that had the tight firm fairways and he'd use the scout cam to see where the ghost balls would land. From there he could figure out whether to use driver or 3W so his ball wouldn't run through the fairway and into the rough. It's advantages like this that annoy the players that dont use ghosts, the same with seeing where to land a ball on the green that is firm and fast.

I think the biggest motive is that it makes everyone think about and play their own shots instead of aiming at the little orange/red/blue line that just shot out of the tee box. All someone has to do is pick the best scoring ghost (usually associated to a top player of that tour) and just follow them off the tee, no need to think about wind or risk/reward yourself, just follow the line. More sophisticated ghost users will zoom into the green on approach shots and see where the ghost balls land, how it kicks, and how much roll out it has. Blah blah they don't know the loft, blah blah. Players can get a good idea of the club/loft used. If you have 3 ghosts on the screen, you may get to see multiple options to land on the green.

I do understand your motivation here Smurf. I just think your approach to these topics needs some smoothing out. It feels like you slapped me across the face and then said "Sorry, you had a speck of dirt there I was trying to get" Maybe I should just be mad at Tim...he started it I've stated categorically I don't want any cheating and that I would personally be more harsh with consequences if I were in charge. There has been a surge with XB players for sure. Unfortunately I am not one of them - lol. But I've played a lot of match play recently with guys like DO, Nemecyst, DaddyJules, and the infamous Kenny Willis. There was nothing I was suspicious about. Kenny does take a lot of time to hit though - it can be annoying as crap but that's not cheating. They are just really good. They make a ton of putts that I don't. Daddy is just stupid good chipping too.

I am sorry not everyone plays the way some folks think is appropriate. I usually never play side winds by adjusting my aim, I use the slice/hook grid to counter act the wind. Usually hit it pretty darn straight even in high winds. Should that be looked at as an advantage? Maybe those who do not use the ghost should start using them. That would also help level the playing field.

Its not tat ppl dont use them its tat a lot of us think it provides too much info...as someone in the thread elluded to it wud be like havin a putt preview option in the game but i think most of us agree tat makes it too arcadey.

No, he said he doesn't like the drama. Not sure how he got the idea there is drama here So he reads but never posts? That I have no idea about. I've interacted with him on our match play site and in game. He has never talked about people - just the game itself (or other games). He did mention wanting to do more Euro events so Ian doesn't win as much....something like that. Wasn't vindictive though. Total speculation, but he probably doesn't want to face being called out as a straight shooter whenever that happened (before my time). I've never cheated at stuff so not sure what that would feel like - probably not a great environment to step in to though. If he found a way to straight shoot now it wasn't evident when we played. But no idea if he reads posts here.

Id imagin it is a vocal minority...like i said earlier it seems to be pro tour players tat are irritated more by it as its a cheap way for ppl to keep up. Tats why i suggested earlier we cud only make a change on the pro tours if the CC players dont care. I just think the integrity of the competition shud be protected.
