I can't find the tour in game... It's in tournaments, not tours because it's not multi pin.

Thats a pretty decent score Wag, you should be pleased with that. I am Tim. I choked a bit in round 3 and I had a lot of putts miss by inches but for the most part I can't complain about my play. My game is starting to come around. I need to work on 2 things to get to the next level. 1) Firm greens. They literally add a stroke on every hole where the approach shot is more than 120 yards. I have to start working on the extreme loft. Maybe I'll create a course with all long par 4s and highest firmness setting and take it for a spin. Or will par 5s be better? I want 2nd shots that are at least 140 yards to the pin. Anyway, I'll work it out. 2) South East and South West winds. These are my toughest to judge what club to pick. It seems that on wedges down they don't have as much effect as with 9 to 3 irons. For example, a 95 yard pitch with a South West wind coming at me of 8 mph doesn't knock off as much yardage as a 150 yard approach with the same wind. As I don't know a lot about golf (actually almost nothing) I don't understand why this is. And with 50 yard pitches, the wind has almost no effect at all. Ultimately, with these winds, I misjudge a lot of shots and end up going too long as I expect the wind to have a greater effect and it doesn't. Once I can really master these two aspects of my game, I should start to move up a lot. And of course winds in general still put me off my approach by greater than I'd like. I have too many putts of 10 to 20 feet and while I'm making a greater percentage of them than I used to, I'm still parring too many holes that should have been easy birdies. I should have shot 40 under at least in this tournament and would have had it not been for the winds and my calculations.

I'm still working on my wind play. I can play pretty much any winds but I've adjusted how much I compensate for it lately. I used to for example 6mph wind going from left to right--I would move over 6 clicks then put 2 clicks of draw on it. Now I'm moving 4-5 clicks and 2 very slight clicks of draw. It's getting me closer to the pins. I struggle with the 10 o clock, 2 o clock,4 o clock and 8 o clock winds. Thats my weak spot. As for firm greens. If you want practice on them. Magnolia National. Pick the Sunday setup, get used to the course, then try the Max firm. You will get plenty of shots like you want, 145 yard with some elevation, hazards and sloping greens. This course will eat you alive, but it will help you learn how to play greens like that. If you finish even or under par then you had a great round. I consider it the best course I've played in TGC. It's become my part of my daily warmup routine, go play a few holes there then rage quit after about 9 lol, then go on to my usual tournament practice. Another thing I do, I watch the shoutbox and when I see one of the PGA'ers announce he is streaming, I'll go watch for a while, see how they do it. I am Tim. Tim, I set up a tour for Magnolia Sunday Max Firm. Played 2 rounds so far, +8 and +1 so I'm improving. Definitely good practice this course.

These were my scores from week 12 Round 1 – 77 Round 2 – 69 Round 3 – 78 Round 4 – 77 Don't let it get you down. You'll get there. Just keep practicing. Eventually, it starts to click. It just takes time.

I'm thinking waaaay to much while playing and it's ruined my game. Got to recharge the golf IQ.

Hard to believe I'm currently sitting T6. Funny how my game has come together seemingly out of nowhere.
I guess now the real fun begins.

Well demotion strike for this guy this week. A lackluster performance for me w/ a -7. The goal next week will be to get rid of it haha! I still like the course though and if I made my birdie putts I would've been -12 for the round. Note to self...find the mentor thread and look for the best player in putting on xbox
