Well, I don't know how good this is going to be to make top 70 in E Class but here are my 4 rounds.
Round 1 – 72 Round 2 – 67 Round 3 – 71 Round 4 – 70
8 under for the tourney.
Now it's wait and see how I finish.

I'm officially a D player from today I've read a lot of posts during the last few days about the difficulties to climb up the Challenge Circuit...it's true that the competition is very high but as you can see from my results (6 consecutive strikes from D to Z in my first 6 weeks here at TGCTours, a very hard practice week than a 3rd place in CCZ, 5 top 30 and a top 10 in the following 6 weeks in CCE, T12 in my D exemption to get the D card) the game is very rewarding if you get the right attitude. There is no need to overpractice, just try to give your best in the 4 important rounds of the tourney. Feeling is important but what took me to the right track is learning exactly how to manage sidewinds. I was way off trying to follow the advices I read here on the forum so I decided to play a couple of rounds in high winds using my own charts, "clicks" and methods. My 2 cents for this is to read an article speaking about planes www.ivao.aero/training/documentation/books/PP_ADC_Headwind_croswind_calc.pdfjust try to replace the word plane with ball... after 5 pages of explanations yuo find this little table and combine it with this with some practice you will master winds without problems... see you on the greens!!! Roberto PS sorry but it looks like I'm not able to insert the images... just open the links

I may have missed congratulating Roberto Busatto my bad. Your one of the ghosts I usually pick to play with, and Jim and one of my old ones (or a really bad one for entertainment purposes, which again is usually one of mine.) when practicing. So I would be remiss not to congratulate you.

Hello everybody! This is my second time on CC-D this season and this time, I hope to make it stick!
The course is a little tougher than I thought at first. The greens are tough (almost as much as Firestone) but the course in general seems to be manageable. Finished -16 on the practice event. Hopefully, I will play better on the real tournament, as -16 is probably not going to be enough to get a definitive CC-D card.
Have a good week everybody!

On one hand, it's frustrating that I 4-putted into a triple bogey to erase a -3 I was carrying into the final holes in round 4.
On the other hand, I can't believe my luck in shooting a -5 and -7 in the first two rounds respectively. I would have loved to repeat that in rounds 3 and 4, but I lost no ground with a couple of 72s.
I'm happy that I am feeling in D like I felt in E for a while, which was that I could count on sticking in the 30-60 range on any given tourney. Eventually I moved out of E with slow progress, maybe I can do that in D.
To do so, I'm going to need to get consistent with my putting, especially when putting against sideways slopes.

Yeah, putting in this game can be a real b%&. LOL.

On my second exemption from E to D the season. Put together rounds of 70 67 69 66 = -16 not sure if that will keep me in D. No big deal either way, feel pretty comfy in E.
Nice course and solid tourney, I thought the setup was great for the CC ranks.
Good Luck to everyone and those also on an exemption.

I'm in your exact same situation and shot exactly the same score (with different rounds at least). So it will be tough to stay here, but, who knows?

16 under on an exemption will surely cut it.
I had a bad tourney last week and left a post whining about my inconsistency, which I would like to apologise for. I am however greatful for the words of encouragement I did receive.
The posts on here are screaming negativity tho, Jim if you dont get an exemption i'll be shocked, enjoy it instead of complaining. We all suffer shots that we were convinced were in, hell i've even been congratulated by playing partners on a putt only to tell them it didn't go in. I've hit 21 under this week, bit of luck it could have been double that, but it wasn't and others will have the same gripe. All you can worry about is your ACTUAL score.

So true....I'm over it...I was raging afterwards..but guess what...I teed it up right away after that fit of rage and just kept playing. It happens...I felt robbed...but we've all endured it from time to time. The ones that roll right over the hole as if it isn't there though...they leave ya reeling. I apologize to everyone for getting my Pampers in a knot..LOL If I do manage an exemption on a -26..I'll be elated...I'll look like a bit of a jackass for being such a baby when I finished my rounds...but hey..It wouldn't be the 1st time

LOL Scores were inflated here for a while with generous courses, but also the sheer volume of players who were clearly just passing through. I really think 26 under is a top 3 score, sure I could be wrong but let's see on the final leaderboard. Good luck regardless

Well, judging by the early scores, my 8 under should land me somewhere in the middle of the pack. So I'm going to guess somewhere between 48th and 52nd place which will be good enough to dodge another demotion strike. As I'm pretty comfortable in E Class (I think that's where I belong) I'll be content with that.

Someone is -14 after one round!!? Six strokes up on the next best!! Uh oh. That is insanity. There must be a better way to shake out the tiers.
I wonder if ALL CC players were dumped into the same pool for the first two rounds every week and then after the first two rounds are posted, the get sifted into tiers based in groups of 72. Perhaps then points/money are alotted based on placement within a tier. Promotion/demotion to web.com could be based on every four-five weeks. I am just throwing it out there. I mean the current system DOES work but there are often 3-5 players that separate themselves so far from the group that really they ought to be a level or two up. Meh. Who knows. Time to head home and try my luck in this week's tournament.
