Hello C-C Golfers!
Looks like I'll be earning my Web card this week as I scored pretty good on an exemption (made the cut).
Judging by the tournament this week in the Web.com tour, I can say that there are several C-C players that would do very well on the Web.com tour. This will be my 16th week playing TGC and it has been very difficult to advance up from C-CB to C-CA and then onto the Web tour. I know that there are many strong players in the A, B, C & D tours and it is very tough to grab one of those top spots and then to be able to perform well enough the next week to move up a level. I am sure I will see many of you join the Web as the season move forward.
I am not really sure about the rules for demotion from the Web to C-C but it looks like it is very hard to move down. I have also noticed over the last few months that it is very hard for those who have been playing TGC since its early days to drop in the WGR. Personally, I would like to see a bit of an adjustment on these two systems but I know it is hard for the folks that run the show to make everything perfect.
Anyhow, good luck to everyone and keep plugging along.

Hey, congrats on making it to the Web tour! I'm currently there myself and it's a great group. Competition is really tough each week. Making the cut is my primary goal. Breaking into the top 25 or top 10 is more of a stretch but doable with good rounds. Lots of talent there. I'm just a middle-of-the-pack-average player myself.
As far as demotions go, it is voluntary only. If you miss 3 cuts in a row on any of the pro tours, you can select to self-demote. I don't know how many people do that though. But earning any pro tour card means you can stay the entire season. Not sure the rules at the end of the season though.
Just thought I'd pass that info along. Welcome again and best of luck.

Middle of the pack average player? Tournament winning at 61 under (starting with a double) player more like. Haha

My inconsistency meant I missed too many cuts. I enjoy playing 4 rounds which is why I demoted myself along with many of the course selections that just frankly weren't that fun to play on. At least here I know I have a chance of making the top 10 once in awhile.

The competition across CC-C to Web.com is very similar. If you look at the results for this season, there isn't much that separates these tours. It's no surprise that players who excel on CC flights move up to Web.com and compete.
I moved up from CC-A a couple of weeks ago and been in the middle of the pack, barely above the cut line last week and this. I need to improve 2-3 strokes per round and I'll be competing for titles and a promotion.

I think there should be a full compulsory demotion system between Web & CC similar to between the various CC levels. I suspect most players in CC are trying to make their way up the ladder as far as they can go. Why are the promotion / demotion rules not the same all the way up the tiers.
Also, do we ever all play on the same course setup like a true Open tournament so us CC players can gauge ourselves against the experts? It's one of the things I enjoy about the TST tour.

You are free to play all the tgct events. Only the tour you are on, counts though.

The only real reason why i want to make it to the pga is that i am a big fan of the actual pga. I want to play in the same tournaments that the pros are playing on. Or at least tgc version. I think it would be nice if the ccs and Web would play those courses maybe a week or two after the actual tournament. Especially the bigger ones like Agusta. Just a thought.
