I don't usually play so fast, but was expecting this tournament, I have good feelings. At least, I wanted to play the first round.
The highest winds I've seen were around 15 mph
#1 hole, good start, from the fairway I left a 38 yards approach to the pin - Easy birdie to start with #2 hole, extreme hook off the tee, across the trees to the left - Tough double, so it's time to recover #3 hole, 9 footer putt for birdie #4 hole, after landing the 2nd shot in the bunker in front of the green, 11 footer for birdie. Already erased the double bogey in the 2nd #5 hole, 3 iron from the tee, as the wind is in my back, the second shot lands a bit short to the left of the pin, lip-out (x2) for bogey #6 hole, missed fairway by a couple of feet - Par after a 10 yard-chip from the back of the green #7 hole, another par after finding the short and right green bunker #8 hole, 12 mph wind in my back, missed 17 ft. birdie putt #9 hole, From the middle of the fairway, missed 7ft. for birdie #10 hole, Again, from the middle of the fairway, another missed birdie putt, now 15 ft. #11 hole, strong wind in my face, I play short the 2nd, now the putt falls down for birdie #12 hole, The fairway is wide enough to hold my errant sliced drive - TGC crashes - after restarting the game I sink my 12 ft. for birdie #13 hole, Misjudge the drop, chip and putt for par from the back #14 hole, My lofted 6i lands 9 ft. away from the cup - another missed birdie #15 hole, 10ft. for birdie #16 hole, Luckyly the ball stops at 17 ft. from the cup with a 5w against the wind - Good par save after a bad first putt #17 hole, birdie from the bunker in front of the green #18 hole, My 2nd shot lands in a horrible place - After hitting a tree, I bogey the hole.
Final result 68 (-3) which might have been a few less strokes if the putter had worked better for me today

You can read about my disaster in the D Class thread.
Thank God I never have to see this abomination ever again.

That 18'th caught me twice. Knowing the second shot (if you don't take the left fairway) is dangerous with the trees, rocks and bunker. I decided to go to the fairway way right. Came up way short and plugged in the bunker over there. 3'rd shot got me back on that fairway, 4'th up on the green for a long put which I missed then lipped out my 6'th shot. Cue rage 2'nd attempt I took the usual route the aiming gives you, yep, plugged in that bunker. Lofted sand wedge way way down,(1'st instinct said PW--should have went with that and just got back out on the fairway) so plugged I wound up in the bunkers on the hill in front of the green. Mis judged my flop, came up way way short on rough in front of green. So frustrating to have what i was considering a good tournament destroyed like that. I had a goal of -20 overall which I was on the way to doing. Then I came to the realization that I had just blown it all to hell and wound up just rushing through my final round. Have to say I'm surprised with the scores I have seen posted by you, Jim and Roberto (Newboblix). I expected you guys to blow me out of the water. #18 hole, My 2nd shot lands in a horrible place - After hitting a tree, I bogey the hole. Final result 68 (-3) which might have been a few less strokes if the putter had worked better for me today

Maybe being some 30 yards shorter it would be even better. And more dangerous, for sure, as some guys could try to reach the green in two. If you use wisely the effects in the second shot, the birdie is a real option. My putter killed me, I think in this course I can go real low, but making putts is mandatory, specially in the thursday setup. We'll see how it goes in round two.

The 18'th does make you think, (I think it could have used one less tree on the second shot.) Its not just a math game and thus makes it something we sorely need in CC. A challenge to our game play, thought process, and course management.
If I had a favorite hole I'll have to say the par 3 13'th. It's a knee trembler, do I club down, do I use the given club and loft it. I just never could solve that hole.
10'th I loved for the fun factor of the second shot over the water and trying to land close to the pin.

Having played the last tournament on the 12th when it went live..it was over 2 weeks between tournaments for me and Yuchi had just got to me to the point where I didn't want to see it again. I should have played it slower and scored better..but I just didn't care..I wanted it gone. I think I played each round in under 20 minutes. It could cost me a demotion strike..but I don't really care.

I was of the same mindset, I'm clear on strikes so if I get one I can live with it. I did play it slow, but still just wanted to get it over with right when I started. By the 4'th round I was counting down "only 8 more holes to go" etc.. Going to go easy on the practice this week so I don't burn myself out. Spend more time in the designer today than playing. And in round 2, more of the same. Ice-cold putter, 69. I love that number, but not as a golf score

One thing I'm not doing anymore is practicing these courses to get "better" at them. It doesn't work. Not for me anyway. From now on, I'll give each course maybe one or two plays tops and that's it.
Life's too short.

-6 through the first two rounds. Had a HIO on #17 . Multiple chip ins too. Then the third and fourth round hit and I put it in the water in third and fourth which caused me to play bad. Shot 8 and 9 over for the last two rounds Finished 11 over, in CC-Z. Thought it was going to be a good tournament, but once I hit it in the water my shots started to become more errant.

Hey all, welcome back from the holiday hiatus! So finished up the first round w/ 5 birdies two double bogies and two single bogies to tally up a +1. 4 putted on 12 because the flipping greens grid lines aren't working sometimes after the update (haven't verified this of course but it happened to me a couple times; I play on xbox. Literally there are no green lines moving and the thing breaks hard left or right as it approaches the hole. Miss the putt and then their are rapidly moving green lines from the other direction. Any other xboxers experiencing this?) Anyway even though this is a challenging course I find it one of the nicest ones Ive played. Will see how I feel after the 4th round haha. Good to be back!

Don't think I'd be much company though, haven't got a headset at the moment, hopefully get one soon though. Gimme a shout if you see me playing. Haven't played too much lately, spending most of my game time designing my first course
