Are my eyes deceiving me or does it say all active scores due in 1day and 14 hours for rounds 1 and 2??? Surely this is a mistake they can't be letting the watchers have more time. King watcher Ben Timmons is ironically about to be fed to the watcher cut line bynone other than Scott Doyley aka the silent assassin and the new heir to the throne of watchers ;-) The is a new level of Watchery nobody notified me that watchers day has been moved? Just whipping the oul maths out Mr. Timmons aka Timbr0_T has a 54% chance of making promotion and Mr. Yates aka yaters has a 27% chance The difference I putt can make!

Before I kick off with a later than usual Watcher of the Watchers Watcherday report would just like to say I agree with the posts prior to this about lads keeping the scorecards in the bag I don't see the advantage really and it could potentially do damage to peoples mouses laptops smartphones or significant others. Nobody likes bad surprises some people don't even like good surprises. Just play nice and we can all be friends . Anyway back to normality and my heart rate is back to normal today as below will explain. With 27 Watchers a watching and X Lurkers a lurking the play stands like this: -21 and better are safe and will be around for the weekend will anyone beat Kenny off top spot with his -49 only time will tell. -20 78% chance of making it. Good news for myself and 8 other lads including dh-nufc . after 9 events of one or both of us missing the cut we could both make it 2 comps in a row! Chickens? Hatch? I know, I know. -19 48% looking healthier than yesterday It'll be tight be might just squeak in. -18 29% I got over the line with a 27% chance a few weeks back on watchers day so its possible just not really probable. -17 11% unfortunately unless they have relocated the refs hut in a nuclear bunker in the middle of the Atlantic on the sea bed there is minimal chance of getting over the line. Which is a shame for Ricky Martin up from CCA this week mainly because all the potential song title quotes that could of happened on web! Unfortunately Web is "Loaded" with so many great players Ricky will have to "Shake his bon bon" back down to CCA that's just how "She Bangs" I suppose. Of course you have to overlook the fact his name is actually Rich and he's not from Puerto Rico. -16 and lower is unfortunately moved on to Oasis CC for next weeks comp. (Please note all Ricky Martin song titles mentioned were sourced via wiki and my dyslexia is how rich became Ricky, apologies if any offence was taken in the reading of this post) Hey Moe maybe we need some "Flashers" here to sort this, they are a new breed that jump out from the bushes in a brown trench-coat and instead of exposing themselves like a traditional flasher does they expose the scores from the various system in game leaderboards and reveal the scores of the lads that have already played and haven't posted

Excuse my ignorance but what exactly defines a watcher?
As of now I'm guessing a watcher is (a) a user that most likely plays earlier in the week but waits until the last minute to post scores, (b) a user who presumably has time to play throughout the week but puts tgc on the back burner until the last second to play thus getting scores in later or (c) a user that is usually always tardy with their scores and hence has built a reputation for posting late scores.
Myself, I'm here on an exemption, played Sunday, posted all 4 rounds Monday and have since been "watching."

Happy New Year TGC pals!
After a 1 week break to try my exemption at PGA and then another 2 weeks vacation, I made it back just in time to try my hand at this course. Played the Thursday pin in practice once and then teed off the tournament for my first ever late entry. After my -9 Thursday round, I was all but out of contention. Stuck in there and pulled a -14 out of who knows where for the second round to put me back into possible top 30 contention. My last rounds of -10 and -6 probably ensures that I won't take top 30. But I'll take making cut after being off for so long.
It's good to be back!

With regards to people not posting, I think TGCT should use the API to post scores as soon as they have the data and then verify with score entry later.

Why are the watchers getting more time for 1 and 2? This is a huge blow to the resistance Moe ;-) haha I am not sure that extension is valid. I came home yesterday and went in to play first two rounds before deadline. When I logged on tgctours.com it said deadline for round 1&2 scores was 1 day and 8 hours. I figured that deadline was extended by a day due to new years evening, which makes sense. Now I am not so sure if I got something wrong. With the extended deadline I decided to get a rest before the evening and to play new years morning instead. So I got up this morning and played first three rounds. However, I cannot see myself on the leaderboard, or in fact anywhere in this tournament. I tried writing support but get deamon back saying delivery failure. Can anyone tell if I misunderstood deadline and was too late, or what else might have gone wrong? Thanks and best wishes for 2016 Doe

Just seen your message now and it made me laugh. I'm sure most have noticed I'm a bit mad, and love having the craic about the watchers.. ;-) it is a bit hard to explain with a hangover but Moe's answer was terrible and confusing ;-) haha A watcher is somebody who doesn't play their rounds until they see what they need to shoot to either (a) make the cut or (b) to win... hence a watcher watching the leaderboards. A Waiter is a person who either plays all their rounds at once but waits till the last minute to post their scores to inflict pain and misery on those at the top or those at the cutline...( sad but does happen ;-) ) A lurker... is a person who jumps in and out of the forums but doesn't actually post, to get information such as wind speed etc and to see what score they need to win and lurks etc...I could go on all day there is so many.i know its confusing but you'll get used to the madness pal but it's all in good fun and seems to be catching on :-) haha
