I knew Kilton Paradiso wasn't the most difficult course I'd ever made but people on the Web Tour seem to be tearing it up judging by the leaderboard. Hopefully everyone is enjoying the course regardless of the score they shoot. I enjoyed the course! I'm not sure how, as a designer, you are supposed to find the balance with challenging but not artificially unreasonable to keep the scoring in check. I think narrow fairways and firm/fast greens is about the only way, but even then I would guess the design would be difficult. You need big greens with firm/fast or it's just a chipping contest. When the greens are sloped crazy or the holes are on side hills, it feels unreasonable. Playing the PGA course this week I noticed that when I missed the fairway (which I did a lot...couldn't hit it straight with my new controller at all) I was severely penalized and rarely could manage a GIR. However, it isn't that hard to hit the ball straight in this game so that element is easily avoided for most players. I'm not that good, but I feel pretty confident if I can get the ball within 10 feet I have an above average chance at birdie. When I need to make 20+ foot putts my chances really drop. In my opinion, this course was fun and looked really good, so nice job! With experience it is possible to get better at making more challenging courses without resorting to 'tricking them up' but its certainly not an easy thing to do. The top players are so good at this game that even courses that I feel I've made quite difficult still see scores of -10 and better. Like you say, the fact that they can hit the ball straight 100% of the time means most of the hazards put in place offer no real threat. I personally just try to make my courses fun to play as these days as I know people will shoot really low regardless of how I set the course up.

Some great scores coming in there lads well done glad I don't have to play this week for the pressure of having to shoot -14 per round haha We both played round 1 for fun last night. Started ok but then doubled the par 4 with the water in front of the green. Scrambled back to -9. The pressure to birdie was immense. Nantez started slow but soon got going. Couple of mistakes and missed putts left him at -9 also. -9 and probably out of contention - doesn't sound right!

Yeah that's what I hate about the birdie fest courses pal especially when you make a few pars, you are gone from contention even with a half decent score.I enjoyed that course though the designer did a good job

-35
Really messed up the last round but whatever!

Man did I make hard work of rounds 3 & 4. Developed a very slight hook and should have stopped playing but kept at it regardless. Found myself off the fairways far to often and was then scrambling. This could have been my week but I'd be surprised now if it is. Think someone will shoot low on last two rounds. Sitting at -49 which is currently top of PS4 leaderboard but geez it should have been so much better. Strange feeling of being a little gutted but content at the same time. I'll take a top 5 this week if that's going?

After little play for a couple of weeks I had to dive right into this. 2 practice holes and I was away. I had a solid start, -4 after 6 but disaster struck on 7. I was fairly happy with the approach shot but my putt from 20-30 feet was hit far too hard, I had complete lapse in concentration. The putt ended off the green. A bogey at this stage was not what I needed! The rest of the round was actually good but the putts didn't drop often enough. -9 was okay without practice in general and especially for the course which was new to me. I know I needed a killer 2nd round to secure weekend play and it started off just the way I needed. I missed a birdie on the 1st but followed it up with an eagle and then 5 consecutive birdies. 7 under after 7, my best run for along time. It came to an end on the 8th but a birdie on 9 put me in a strong position. -17 after 27 holes. Another disaster, this time on 10. I ended up in the rough and had a shot over the water, the lie was poor. I thought I clubbed up enough but unfortunately I hit the water, maybe I hit a tree branch which took distance off. My 2nd approach almost went it but it rolled past. I was pleased to make the bogey putt. This really took the wind out of my sails and I wasn't able to regain it until the 16th. After 15 I was -8, just as I had been after 9. 3 birdies to finish the round put me right on the bubble this week. Tonight will be my only chance to complete the tournament so I guess I'll have to play knowing that there is a good chance I won't make it. How are the predictions looking? -20 looks like it may have an outside chance!

I don't normally use ghosts but without having the time to practice I needed some help with driving distances etc. Fingers crossed you get a top 5 at least. There are signs your game is on the up!

Happy Watchers Eve Everyone! dh-nufc post has prompted myself into action to kick of the facts and figures of who's in who's out and how thing look for the cut-line threaders. Firstly Nice to see an Irish Man contending at the top with nantez88 aka Nearly boy off playing in the PGA! Now for your numbers as always they can't include the newly named "Lurkers" the watchers that late register on Watcherday. We will have 2 new Webbers next week as -23 and up is in the watcher safe Zone and Darren Gregan & Todd Mallery have already surpassed that mark. Chances of making it for the rest -22 85% -21 78% -20 61% -19 47% -18 38% -17 30% -16 21% -15 13% -14 4% -13 cut My guess would be the line will be on -19 or -20 its harder to be accurate this week as rd 2 was easier and there could be a lot of Lurkers out there!

Thanks Moe Slorkman. I see you are on the same score as me. When I finished I thought odds of making the cut were slim so I'm happy with 61%. I better get those rounds played tonight!

Yourself , feng187 and myself all hanging around on that score ill be playing out my rounds tonight aswell I wouldn't be to confident of the percentages this week as only 126 have registered so there could be 30 Lurkers a Lurking out there!
