So maybe I just don't understand what Q School was for this last week. It's entirely possible. But I thought I read a while back that in December Q School would allow all of those CC players to re-qualify for a higher tour. I was in CC-C this week (banging back and forth with exemptions) and played decent. I was tied for 2nd until the last couple of hours and then was booted to 3rd. I did receive a sponsors exemption but that would have come from any normal tournament. Did they take the first place of each CC or something and give higher cards? Just thinking of how they do it in real life...top 25 get cards! Just curious if someone could clarify. Believe me I'm not ready for the big tours, just curious why it didn't happen.

If you finished in what is normally a exemption position in your flight, instead of a exemption you will be giving the tour card of the flight above you. So if you finished third in cc-c you have just earned a cc-b card.

I think it's top 5 in CC-A and CC-Z go up..and top 10 including ties in CC-B to CC-E go up. I like your idea of top 25 getting promoted though...cuz I finished T24

Can somebody explain exactly what an exemption is, not that I'll ever earn one?

Can somebody explain exactly what an exemption is, not that I'll ever earn one? An exemption allows you to play on the tour above the one you're currently on, and if you meet a certain criteria while playing that week's tournament on the higher tour, you get a card for that tour. If you're don't meet the criteria, the week after you go back down to your previous tour.

Could be a bug but all I got was an exemption and my card has not changed. 3rd in CC-C Q School. do I need to send the commish an email?

Usually you see an announcement on the forum or shoutbox by Doyley that the results have been finalized, usually Mondays, so I bet by then they will have processed your promotions.
Not sure but I think they do the promotions by hand. The exemption email may just be an automated thing.
I could be talking out my ass though and have no clue lol
edit and as I was typing

For all those that got exemptions in CC Q-School - the automation just fired off the normal emails last night - ignore those as I will go through and manually get you your card today (straight promotion) - pass along to anyone that brings it up thx!

Yep turns out the automated system did not do the "special exemption" for this tourney. Meaning I will get a full card to CC-B after tonight/Monday. Just got an email from Commish about my question.
Thanks everyone. Now gonna have to play well to keep it! lol.

FYI, those that earned exemptions should now be fully promoted and on your new tour/flights - apologize for the bit of confusion - wasn't able to have it set up to do automatically so it was all manual labour today!
