I think I just had the tournament of my life. I never even looked at this course prior to teeing off. Just decided to give a whirl cold. I don't have any visions of winning or even getting an exemption, but for me I finally played pretty consistent through all 4 rounds.
And...I started the whole thing off by dunking my drive into the drink on #1 for a double bogey. That could have sent me into a mental spiral easily.
Winds were pretty average round 1 and 2 (10-12-14 tops I think). Rain in the last two rounds which I finally was just able to ignore. Round 3 winds were very light. Round 4 was light with the exception of a few holes.
Course seemed easy for sure and I'm guessing we will see very low scores again.
R1: -15 (57) R2: -13 (59) R3: -16 (56) R4: not posting it just yet
Oh, I almost forgot! Hallelujah Sweet Mother of Pearl I got my first hole in one! Not just tournament but ever in this game. Probably 500 rounds up to this point and that stupid ball finally rolled in! Pardon my enthusiasm...just never thought I'd see the day.
Edit...finally figured out how to post videos.

Great shooting Yaters. This course is going to get destroyed this week especially those last two rounds with no wind and receptive greens. Even easier than Bunyip, sorry guys. Baja should be a more difficult course next week for those craving a tougher challenge.

Holy crap... nice shooting yaters! And here I was ready to declare my score a top 5 score. Now that you've posted your score, I may be lucky to even get a top 10. Shot -15, -13, -13, -13. I think winner will be -60 or better again like two weeks back. There should be at least 10 people in the -50's. My predictions for the week: Winner: -61 (yaters? ) Top 5: -55 Top 30: -46 Top 70 Cut-line after 2 rounds: -23

-10 -13 -16 -12 -51 Should have been nearer -60 but never mind . Looks like this is only a top 25 score by the end of play.

Why did I have to go into spoilers thread.I just couldn't resist but knowing I need to shoot on average of -15 per round is harrowing. I feel like withdrawing now haha.Great shooting though lads amazing scores coming in. Big round of applause for Yaters especially well done

Played for practice and this course is like a turkey waiting to be carved up. Finished -59 and it should've been 2-3 strokes better. "Only" a -13 in the second round in the easiest conditions. Fire away!

Missed cut for me this week couldn't putt to save my life and every little thing that could go wrong did. Ah well who wants to play on the shitty euro tour anyway??? ( I do really) haha

-10 -13 -16 -12 -51 Should have been nearer -60 but never mind . Looks like this is only a top 25 score by the end of play. Getting worried that -23 wont make the cut.

This was not my tournament, which is sad because I didn't play that poorly. Several missed putts here and there.
61, 61, 59, 60 for a -47 total. It is hard to imagine -22 not making the cut but I suppose it looks that way.

What happened to the harder tournaments of the first few weeks :-( I'm anxiously awaiting that myself. This is the first week I've done decent in the birdie-fest shootout. Not really my cup of tea though. We really could use a PGA/Euro type course real soon.

The pressure of trying to shoot -15 on average per round is so tough. GOD DAMN YOU SPOILERS THREAD but I have my curiosity to blame. I played my first 2 rounds and shot 58,58 for a total of -28 and a share of the lead on ps4 with week 8's winner ( I don't think he'll take an exemption) haha. I'm 2 shots off my target and the difference on this course is making the eagles on the par 5's. I made few mistakes, missed 1 putt with liar break but only made 1 eagle I think. The winner will be whoever can eagle the most on the par 5's. I can only imagine what the cut line will be

If you guys want to practice on a non-birdie fest, try this week's Euro. I can't imagine their cut-line will be much above -10 for the first two rounds.
Next week's round will be much tougher than Drayton. No way top 30 is in the -40's. Maybe top 5.

I've played a few of the PGA/Euro events for fun, and the challenge can be much more significant. I suppose the pressure is relative - either don't make a mistake so you can birdie...or don't make a mistake so you can ensure at least par. But I'm sure if we get a really hard course there will be a slew of complaints about how it was unfair or artificially difficult with pin placements. Personally, I'd enjoy a chance to measure against this talented field with a setup that really makes me think before each shot.
