The only reason i didn't want to stay and play Red Swan is because i feel that the greens may become frustrating for me. Nothing against the course, i love it, but if i start putting bad on sloping greens it could go horrible wrong. I need to get used to those type of greens in practice and get more confident too before committing to tourneys.

I didn't really see the struggle with trees on Red Swan, I'm sure I played it earlier. I've played all the rounds and there were a few holes that regardless where you are on the fairway, you are going to hit a tree on the approach shot.

Don't mind the trees, just don't like the shaded greens. Haven't played this course and will be on the Euro next week. My comment was on the detriments (for me) of trees around the greens. My old eyes just can't handle the shaded greens.

I was going to play PGA this week but have since withdrawn and signed up for the Euro this week.

I also signed up for the Euro next week. I wasn't a huge fan of Red Swan when I played it, and having constant putting lines/holes covered up by tree shadows really didn't do me any favors. I suppose if I lower my graphical settings then it may alleviate the problem some, but I figure it provides a nice excuse to cross-over.

It seems the Euro and PGA tours have 6 to 8 elite players that have the potential to win every week. This gives everyone else something to aspire to (myself included). My goal is is try and make the Fed Ex Cup playoffs and to do that, I need to play as many PGA tour events as I can. I'll bump in to Euro Tour guys and girls in the Majors and WGC events.

I just want to play well wherever I choose to play. I really do not care about any sort of ranking because I have so many things to improve before I can think about even giving myself high expectations.

I don't think there's a single shadow on any green on the Euro course for week 10 so you wont have any issues there (also the greenkeeping staff are hard at work arranging pin positions for the weekend as we speak).

I'm really liking Red Swan the more I play it. Don't like the shadows but it does make you think and if you get into trouble you have to really think to get out.
