I've been flirting with the cut line too lately but always being below it. NOT THIS WEEK BABY! Missed it by miles. Round 1 Started really well, 3 under after 4. 5th hole was hard to get to in the wind and I ended up short. No problem though, easy flop and putt. But not this time, the flop hit the pin and spun backwards leaving me a long par putt which I missed. It didn't bother me at that moment in time, I birdied the next 2 to be -4 after 7. It started to go wrong on the 10th, only a par. I can't even remember how I bogied the 11th but that was the end of me. I finished -3, pretty much over already but I will continue knowing an amazing round can still get me through. Round 2 Bogey on the first. End of the round, end of the tournament!! I don't quit though. I almost did after 7 on the 7th. +1 after 9, ha ha. What a week to forget. Finished -3 and almost bottom. So after a few weeks where I've just missed the cut to a total disaster of a week. Head is up and I'll move on but I've just got this feeling that my love for the game is starting to decrease. Spare time is precious. We will see what happens but it's just not feeling quite the same, maybe it's just getting a little old. I've probably put 300 hours into this game, only FIFA(and I mean all of the FIFAs together) could compare with this so in a way I guess it's no surprise. I hope i'm just feeling this way because I was so awful and when I have a good week my love will be back. Not wanting any sympathy, just wanting yaters to have a good laugh at me Where is the Dean who, only a few weeks ago, was revelling in rivalries? Don't be down on the game or yourself mate. I've said it before and I'll no doubt say it again, it's a long season, we'll all have our troubles to seek at some point. Just get back to playing and enjoying the game...and good scores will follow.

Not wanting any sympathy, just wanting yaters to have a good laugh at me You could always ask for demotion Dean. Or, as I suggested in the suggestions forum earlier, there could be a rule where 3 straight missed cuts means demotion. It would make that 3rd week all the more important/interesting to guys that flirt with the cut line. True, it isn't like the real life tours, but neither is the best guys playing week in week out.

Hey Luke, keep quiet That's 5 in a row for me but I don't want to be demoted just yet. I love the guys on this tour!! It is a shame my rivals (Kenny included) are moving up and I'm moving down. It's happened to me from the start on here. I've said it before, if you want to improve then be my rival. I'm not down about it at the moment, maybe it's the courses but maybe I'm just not as into it as I was. I have never played one single game as much as this. I'll keep my head up and we will see.

Dean, I was feeling a little low a couple of weeks ago, and Kenny used these words with me too and I bounced back to make the last couple of cuts.... I know you're stumbling lately but you've still pocketed over $10,000 more than I have and I'm fairly satisfied with my start to the season. Ha! It sure is tough up here on the Web tour but this game, and community will always keep me coming back every week! No other game feels this important. The stresses of each round and those agonising missed putts.... I can't go a tournament without having 1 poor round so usually, even if I do make the cut.... I don't make the top 60.

Hey Chris, most of that winnings was on week 2 or 3 I think, I remember I was 6th one place off an exemption chance, slightly disappointed to miss out on a chance of exemption but also slightly pleased because I wasn't ready. Now I'm thinking that CC-B was about my level, how things change! Playing TGCT takes up so much time, although not so much near the end of the week at the moment. I will stick with it but last night was the first time I quit mid-round and I though that's enough. Normally it takes a lot for me to stop playing!!!!
I think the importance I have on this is maybe one of the issues, I've taken it too serious but I know if I don't concentrate I'll make too many mistakes. Rather than quitting in the future I might just play all my rounds on speed golf, I generally do well on that.

I actually considered playing this weeks rounds whilst on chat with Kenny and Dan and the other guys because I'm usually far more relaxed and play a lot better when playing with them.
Maybe their soothing accents calm my nerves? Maybe it's the fact there isn't any pressure on me when playing with them.
I got a top 10 at the start of this season and earned around $15,000 I think... Every other week I've only accumulated $4,000 I think and I've only missed 2 cuts.
In all honestly, I think the Web.Com is a level too high for me, the consistency of the guys here is really high. I think having the close friendly rivalry with Kenny helps me each week....although he beats me by a shot or two every round, the goal of edging him in a tour keeps me playing!

Cheers Jimmy. 5 missed cuts in a riw now, its been my aim just to make the cut since I missed my first one. I have a feeling I'm emulating my football team. They are on a run even worse than mine!

-15 have just been eliminated !! Can the watchers take out the -16? I highly doubt it but who knows truly what powers the watchers possess!

Since it is watcher day and all I thought I better post! Looks like I'll be back on web next week after an awful showing at PGA on exemption.
Close and very international (but no longer phallic) taste at the top of the board right now, I'll be keeping an eye! Good luck lads on the weekend and get ready for a birdiefest the likes of which you've never seen on Drayton Lakes. Someone's going to go -65 I bet. That course is very, very juicy.

Funny that because I always look for your scores Chris, knowing if you play like I know you can, and over four rounds, you'll be one of those nearer top end of leaderboard!! I love this game, the banter, met some crackin guys, I could go on and on...This game gets a 10 from Ken! (any Strictly fans will get that..sorry!!)

And then there was one. I feel for you two exemption players on the cut line right now. Especially MVS who has put up some great scores across the different tours. thanks I hope to get my web card in the future I simply was not good enough this time I am sure I will get more chances but I am still happy holding a cc-a card since I was in cc-c just a couple of weeks ago

Just came here to take my lumps. Had a terrible week on Web...hit that stupid bunker on the first hole on a mini-slice and continued to a putrid -3 in round 1. Round 2 was a very wonky and messy -9, not nearly enough to make the cut. First missed cut of the year...and at a time when my True Sim game is better than ever (4th last week, probable top 10 again this week). I'm almost at a point where I'm going to turn the grid off on the greens (not really)...but one more putt that shows a bunch of break and stays straight is going to drive me nuts. Good luck to all those still in it. I leave for a 2 week vacay on Monday, so hoping I can get my rounds for next week in before that, and then take a much-needed break.
