Well, Putter burned me a few times, High winds made for a challenging round. Came off the course hanging onto a 73 (+2) on my own course where I should know every bump on the fairway.
This is a course I love to hate. But, oh well ... putter woes still plague this old man.

Day 2 ... the winds were pretty much the same, however I was warmed up from the first round so, I was a bit better tuned to play. or so I thought, I was like 4 under after the turn, and was fighting the back nine, looking like I could come into the club house at -8 ... but NO! ... I went south, started fighting the wind, finding my tee shouts just trickling into the rough ... making par a fight ... The final insult came on the 18th, where I was 7 under before I tee'd off. But NO .... the infamous HB Studio random ... "I'm going to throw in that random Snap hook" of the tee, put me into severe trouble, hanging onto a clump of dirt, that saved me from going into the water (I would have been better of going into the water !!!) ... Finally walking of the green with a double bogie. I was Happy to walk off with a 66. I still had one of my better rounds I had played in a while. Not to want to let that feeling go, I quickly tee'd up for round three ... Right off the bat, was starring down 15 MPH winds ... (AGAIN) knew I was going to have another challenging "battle royal" with all the Wind Gods of Greek Mythology. 3 rounds of High Winds is a tad much. Not sure what to expect in round 4. But this time, I was regretting my decision. I wanted to rage quit by the 3rd hole, but couldn't. I was fighting weirdness of the HB buggs, along with the putting lip-outs and the ball jumping of the putter head. Frustration was getting the best of me. and by the end of 9 holes of round 3 (AT FIVE OVER). Once again, I was very disappointed with the inconsistent behavior this game has developed. Making tournament play so undesirable for me to enjoy. I really have hated that HBS monkey'd around with the swing and putting, to the point it's worse than it ever was before they began playing with it the 3rd and 4th time ... I will finish out the round, but these tournaments our losing the fun factor. I can handle my bad play. But I don't need the help of the random BS the game throws at me to kill of My good game play. Now, I need a free "box of Kleenex" ...

If you had used one of those kleenex in the monitor, it would now be flu-free for years to come.
Bad lose, a coffee is a coffee

Well, glad that is over ... I hate to say it on my own course, but 4 rounds of 15 MPH winds ... it is a grind...
funny to see the one person crying about how hard the course was, post such low scores for all 4 rounds ... and a -9 on the final round ... I was glad to walk of even par.

I knew I would figure it out with enough practice Hat's off...your course actually went from being a royal pain in the ass to one of my favs once I got a handle on it. Still say round 3(C set up) was harder than round 4.

Isn't that how a course is suppose to be?
Judging a course on first impressions and a single play never leads to a proper evaluation of any course. I design courses to be interesting every time you play it ... not to play it once, and get bored with it the next time you see in. I like to make the 'Golfer' have to learn a course.
Most people don't like my courses because of that fact.
I am shocked that My Links Tropicana course is not played more ... But not really, If I made it, its down rated and ignored.
LOL
However, I figured I was going to whip some serious course butt, and it was a workout to break par for Four rounds.
I actually like it even though I felt I should have posted at least a -10 under minimum ... to wind up -1 for me, under the struggles I had with the game itself was fun.
Every time I was on the tee, I had to fight for par and play every shot in fear. made it interesting (frustrating), but it was never boring.

Wish I could have that 3rd round back in my totals...Woulda been great to get in the -30 range. I was determined not to let the course beat me. Loved the challenge. I actually still hold the course record on PC on the 4.01 setup too

Glad you snagged the record ... Breaking "par" is a record for me.
A.K. "Royal Tropicana" can be quite a nightmare as well. It is a well 'hated' course ... LOL
actually most of them (my designs) can be a nightmare ... and yet, can be quite the birdie fest in low winds.

Best course this season by a mile Bubba, wish all courses were like this, a decent challenge. Shot a 55 in the 2nd round but only managed -4 and -2 for rounds 1 and 4 respectively for a -32 overall. Next weeks course Elis Course will be back to the same birdie fests. Got to be looking at -50 at least to have a chance of winning

I'm not just complimenting the course because the creator is here, but I really loved it. I started off thinking I was going to do much better than I did, but I'm still proud of my 69 first round. I enjoyed some long shots to reach the greens, as well as some tough greens on those that were easier to reach. My mind is sort of blown by anyone shooting a 55, though. I love that there are so many levels here, but yikes, there's no way in hell I'll ever be shooting like that, and here I am trying to compete with that and only in CC-E.

I'm in CCA so you don't have to worry about that. Never get any chat in a CCA room and only 60 odd in each tourney anyway

The course has to be female. It can be a b%& and sometimes it loves you and sometimes it hates you.
