Guys I think I am taking a break from the Euro tour. Not fun anymore.
Will continue in the TST. See you there.
Good luck to my pals. You know who you are.

I haven't touched this week yet, but I'm wondering what happened to 15+ mph winds? I felt like going out and shooting a 64 on that was a feat, instead of a disappointment... I echo the sentiments of a lot of those above. Sadly my interest has waned over the last few weeks -- not sure if it's because of that frustration, or the fact I've gone up as high as I can go, or the fact that I'm just doing other stuff for leisure activities... I'm just not having as much fun as I used to. I believe part of my problem is that I don't have the time needed to practice courses for 2 separate tour per week. If I'm lucky I'll get in one practice round. I hate to bail but I'm not doing either tour any justice the way things are now.

Yeah that was my thing with TST... it was hard to play eight tournament rounds a week, four by Thursday night. I also don't have the free time in front of my PS4 that I used to. I'm also a terrible putter and... seemingly victim to the putting glitches noted above. It's not fun anymore. Just had a four-putt in Round 2 and don't even want to finish it... but... I guess I'll finish in the next few days just so it shows as a MC instead of a WD

HB Swears they didn't touch putting. I have said again and again that something in the physics have changed last patch. I have posted video after video about this and had to teach myself a whole new putting style that still is hit n miss. If you want, Anthony has been tracking this thread: www.hb-studios.com/forum/index.php?topic=13255.msg154674#msg154674Feel free to post your own thoughts on it. I think of it like ball squirt, until the masses speak up and ask for an answer, nothing will change. I don't think I ever really noticed it but as soon as I started looking for it it ... definitely feels off. I had a couple putts that were firm but right in the centre, and still spat out in a seemingly unrealistic way. Even ones that may have lipped out just kind of... looked odd as it tapped the hole.

I think some of the more worshipping fanboys might get a shock if/when they find out that HB has been fiddling with the mechanics a bit behind the scenes without telling them. Personally I have not really noticed any difference, only maybe some more lip-outs so I think edges have been tweaked to be more realistic. Then again - I always hit my putts center cup with perfect speed, so don't expect much difference. ;-)

How many practice rounds do the top guys put in before playing a comp? I sometimes get in 1 if time allows but this week didn't have time to have any before I played rounds 1 and 2. I noticed that Ian Sweeney had posted at least 3 or 4 scores on my Dainton Park course before the tournament.

I have the same problem of not enough time to practice, too many other games to occupy my time. I had a good think about it last night and I'm still gonna play but I'm gonna try and not get so uptight about things, I still enjoy playing the different courses and as long as I realise I'm never going to be able to compete with the big boys I can probably enjoy my round. I'm just making up the numbers on both tours, it's beyond my comprehension how they can score do well so consistently on both of them. Hey top guys you are allowed to have a few off rounds you know.

They seemed to have done numerous tests with ballsquirt on ur comp and now they are trialing the next putting update on you. On a serious note the putting has changed over time slightly (not sure which update it was) but if you were an agressive putter before you will find you now get more lip outs and them weird ones that go straight over the hole. Just have to tone the speed of your putts down a little and allow more break. One thing i have felt is that the default distance on shorter putts has become shorter so you hit them softer unless you change it

Yeah, I see no problem with putting, it's the best part of the game in my opinion. People always remember the bad breaks and lip-outs but I've had plenty that have 'lipped-in' also. All about the pace of putts.

Putting has clearly changed, and it was done behind the scenes. The last update they moved a ton of stuff server side to be able to fiddle with this stuff without the need for an update. However all they did was require more accuracy. I had a putt from 50 feet end up 1 inch short. Never had I until recently even seen a 1 inch putt. That clearly told me the assists they once had on the putting have been dialed back if not removed altogether.
The putting is more real now, I have good days and bad days putting, sometimes I can see and make it from everywhere, some days I struggle with 5 footers.
I would suggest for those that are struggling to make themselves a driving range and practice some putting distance control.
I guess if course designers trick up their courses to make it harder to score well, developers will trick up their game to do the same, must be human nature or something.

I almost wish they were cause at least I'd get paid for this headache. I do submit a lot of videos tho. You nailed it on the aggression point, that is exactly what I did to fix my putting, more hole speed putts. Ball squirt is still in and hasn't been changed. My point on that was that until a lot of people started asking about it, they didn't admit it even existed. It goes to reason that if enough people ask about the putting then they would either admit what has changed or at least feel it is in their interest to investigate it.

No disrespect intended to anyone, but to me putting is the best part of the game.(PS4) The lip outs are more realistic. That is not saying others are experiencing things I am not.
I do have a problem on long uphill putts where I find inconsistencies on the roll.

I think a fairly solid two rounds -13 and -11. One bogey through 2 rounds and that was my own stupidity. A couple of missed shots but also had a couple of putts I wasn't a favourite to hit so it evened out.
Going to take a break.

Guys, I'm not trying to either rip anyone or to protect the shield but what you're saying, at least in my opinion, doesn't make sense and lacks perspective. To on the one hand bemoan the fact that the very top of the leaderboard is inaccessible to you and then say the game isn't challenging enough doesn't add up. There's nothing magical about what the leaders do. They play thoughtfully and skillfully. Good for them. It's like everything else in life (unless you're Ian Sweeney) they'll always be someone better than you at every single thing you do. As a competitive person, that pisses me off from time to time but it doesn't have to make this game less fun.
I read the forums every week and I always hate the weeks when 75% seems to be people unhappy with game mechanics, course selection, or their own skill level compared to others. I play every week because even the frustrating moments when I miss a 3 footer or inexplicably hit a 9 iron into the water are still more fun than almost anything else I do each week. I'd much rather finish 58th or miss a cut than not play.
I apologize in advance for preaching or sounding condescending. It's not my intent. I don't know a better way to say what I think. This game is awesome and it's more awesome having you guys around. Since I personally have no real shot at winning, you're the people I enjoy competing against every week. You're what makes this much better than playing rounds offline by myself.
