Another poor week for me sadly - don't think -12 will be good enough to make the cut this week. I enjoyed the course, but I really should have tried to practice it first. There's definately a number of holes that need some careful thought if you want to put yourself in position for birdies. Good luck to those who make it to the weekend, I think I'll be behind the ropes spectating again. I reckon you'll be right on the cut line at -12 so you may have more golf to play this week.

Well, one word sums it up for me this week,,, stinker. It was that bad,, even Tony McGettigan is going to beat me , aaarrrggghhh. Rd1 -9, then blew up in rd2, i was +3 thru 5, got it bck to E thru 9, then bogeyed 11, aaaggghhh, just could not find anything, eventually finished -2 for the rd,, -11 thru 2 is not going to make rds 3-4, missed cut 4 me i guess, same as last season, gd week, bad week, oh well its only a game saint. Well played 2 those who have finished and good luck to all who have yet 2 start , but please do bare in mind that -10 thru 2 rds, is a gr8 score.

If -9 somehow makes cut that'd be nice as I finished with -19 the last two rounds.

I think I had a good one this week - difficult to tell this early on! A 59 followed by 3 63's for a -40 total. Hopefully it'll be my best result of the season so far. Played yours and Jules' ghosts for all four rounds, blew any chance I had on the front nine of round 1 and was already trailing you both by 7 or 8 shots. After that I'd manage to pull an odd shot back here and there but no where near either of you after 72. Well played both but particularly Congo, you were on fire this week. Just couldn't get it together on this course at all and am unable to explain as to why. Oh well, onwards and upwards.... N.B. 4 attempts on the 11th and I was in the deep cabbage behind trees every time, could not figure that tee shot at all...

I was amazed that I finished higher than Jules - he's normally 6 or 7 ahead after round 1. Is 11 the one with the right to lefter off the tee, followed by a long second uphill? I always drew a 3W from the tee, although I ended up in the cabbage once or twice as well. All in all, I got lucky this week - just clicked for some reason. Back to normal next week no doubt...

The safe shot on the 11th is a 5w off the tee with a slight draw. That'll leave you a 3i or another 5w for the second shot but a birdie is still possible and you should have no problem making a par. Once you go up to a 3w or driver you have to put a lot of draw on the tee shot and you run the risk of putting yourself in a lot of trouble.

Still seen you smash a few way left or right off the tee, must admit I chuckle when you do but hats off mate, you scrambled when needed. And yes the 11th is that one, sure I'm not the only one who struggled on that one...

I'm here on an exemption this week and the pressure to make the cut totally got me; not by a long shot my best golf so far I shoot 64 (-8), 65 (-7), 62 (-10), 65 (-7) for a -32 total.... I sincerely hope -15 after 2 rounds makes the cut so I can stay up here and get better (and less tense/nervous) tournament after tournament...

I'd guess we'll be sitting in around 40th once everyone has played their two rounds.

Well, even though this course does not 'fit my eye', I had an opening round 63 for -9. A little surprised by this as in my practice round, I just could not get comfortable with the course and did not score that well.
We shall see what rd 2 brings.
Good luck all!

Mediocre start for me this week:
Rd1: 63 (-9) Rd2: 62 (-10)
What bugs me the most is the fact that this time I did quite well on the putting surface. Had 20 in Rd1, and 21 in Rd2. I'm normally quiet happy when I'm somewhere near 20 putts/round. But those two first rounds I was somehow unable to hit the greens the way I should.
Anyway... trying to go low(er) in my final rounds. New target is to be at -40 at least at the end of the tournament, which might be good enough for a Top20 result.

-34 this week, couldn't stay in a groove, lots of birdie streaks followed by lots of par streaks. Maybe a top 25 but doubtful. Tricky course couldn't really get a feel for it, had fun though, enjoyed having to be a little creative.
