So I played my rounds. They were interesting to say the least. Started off well but putts weren't dropping here and there and round one ended with a disappointing -13. Round two started off better and I was actually -10 through 11 with two eagles but could only finish at -13. EESH. Round three started once again great. I even got a hole in one on #12, two bounces and in. I checked the replay and it went in so I saved the shot to come back and record later. After the round I quit out of the tourney (after hitting the first shot) and looked up the replay and found what is shown in the video below. The ball came up woefully short and didn't even make it to the green??? Not sure how a replay of a hole in one could be SO vastly different and have submitted it to HB. That being said scored a -14 and was feeling well. Unfortunately after that weirdness with the replay things got even more weird. I hit a few tee shots and the wind didn't seem to matching up with what I was seeing on the meter. I even brought up BOOMBOOM's ghost and sure enough he was outdriving me by 30 yards on a couple shots. It straightened out by the 5th hole but wow. At this point i was so out of phase and could only come back with a -11 to finish at -51. I felt good most of the rounds, just missed too many putts and the had that weirdness at the end. If i was in contention I'd probably be pissed but anyway here is my replay of my hole in one.. I swear it did go in.. really. I have a big extra stiff shaft behind my club, that might be the reason....

I am not sure what to say. I have one round under 60 (ever, tourney or not). I played the round of my life in rd 1... Personal Best 58. Hole in one on #8. Really played well. My intent was to stop and see what I had to do in rd two once the scores were posted. I felt a little burned by missing the cut at -18 last week especially finishing a careless bogey par par so I was going to play it by ear.
But the first round went so well, what could go wrong..... In Round 2 I birdied every hole on the front side. Every single one. Now for some of you, that is no big deal, but for me... wowzers.
I ended up shooting a NEW personal best in Round 2... 57! I realize I wont be ahead, hoping for top 5 maybe at -29? I honestly wish the tourney was over... scared to death about the weekend rounds yet to come... Can I do it again? I have NEVER broken -40 in a tourney, and broke -30 only twice I think.

Well, it happened...I played HORRIBLE!! For the life of me I can't explain what happened, but I'm pretty sure -16 after the first two rounds is not making the cut. I was expecting to be around -22 or so, which would not even be close to the top, but would make the cut. I'm still in shock over how poorly I played. At times I felt like this was my first time learning the game. All my calculations were off, I hit horrible shots from 100 yds out...just anything that could go against me did. Guess it happens to all of us.

I had a similar problem in TST yesterday, plus on other ocassions. My turn enabled ghost was all over the place and hit a -10. And on one of the par 5s he knocked it on in two (with an impossible wind) and made eagle. DoubtfulObelisk and I were discussing this as I was Twitching the round. I'm guessing it's just a glitch, but how or why I have no idea.

R1: 60 (-12) R2: 58 (-14) R3: 61 (-11) R4: 58 (-14)
Total: -51
R3 nearly caused me to turn my controller into crumbs. Was hitting shots between 89% and 97% at the worst time possible. R4 I worked out what was going wrong but only by hole 4. Slightly disappointed but only in comparison to the start to the season I've had.

Full disclosure, I went back and looked and I have shot -44 under one time (under 40) on the web tour and in that event shot a 56... Was just so excited with the above... Still historic event so far for me... have never finished above 27th place on the PGA... rd 3 and 4 maybe tomorrow.

This is what this site needs, more Accounting Firm related accuracy. Being a non "big four"does RSM really deserve us to get their name right?

Finally made a cut! Ended up shooting a -42. But that isn't the story, last week while streaming I got a Hole-in-One. It was only my 3rd in almost 400 rounds. So what do I do for an encore this week? Well, Watch these 2 videos and enjoy!
