Hey guys an gals, saw some great scoring out there today, I only played it for fun as im only a web.com player, and was good to see how steep the next step up is. Think that course was great but without high winds its very scoreable, I played it the other day with 13-20mph winds and was a totally different beast. I managed 66-59-62-62 today, like I said a big jump for me to next level. Take it easy folks and have fun

I played the first 9h in Rd 1 and Rd 2 in -17/18, I played the B9 poorly in all 4 rounds. Ball striking wasn't to my usual standard, especially from the tee. I was pleased to chug along to -51. My putting was poor too. Hole #14 killed me, lol, from 5 to 7ft at least twice.
Good luck everyone!!

Oh, hey look! Everyone is shooting the lights out. What do I shoot in two rounds? I bet you'll NEVER guess!!!
60-60 for -24
Going to wait to see if that is enough.

I'm fairly certain -24 will make the cut, but I don't know if -48 will get you even top 45.

I have a big time problem deciphering kick lies and how much they affect the shot. Then I almost always over compensate for wind when its lowish and side to side. Throw in a natural slice and I missed a lot more left or right than most everyone else. Didn't knock much dead when I had to hit a full shot. I think my left/right judgment has overtaken my chipping as my biggest weakness. It didn't help that I putted average at best for my standards... probably below average.
I also left a lot short with those soft greens.
But, onward we go!

I think my left/right judgment has overtaken my chipping as my biggest weakness. It didn't help that I putted average at best for my standards... probably below average. I also left a lot short with those soft greens. But, onward we go! The past week and a half I've had massive problems with my left/right aim as well. I can't judge the effects of slopes on my shot well at all. Couple this with the worst putting I've had in a couple of months, it's just been a huge grind. Some of the shots I've hit in the past week seem to have completely different properties (distance/off-line) than before. Like I said earlier, I had a half-bar lofted PW pitch go 61 yards, and the hole was -9 feet in elevation and there was a 8 mph headwind. I've had shots where I know I'm overcompensating for the wind via draw/fade and yet they still go 8+ yards off-target to the side the wind is playing, not to mention coming up 4-5 yards short on top of that. I've been playing poorly and I just can't figure out what has changed in the past week+ and it's frustrating. I don't know whether it's because I can't get a good read on the ball lie (this is something that should be better shown somehow. The number of times I've thought a ball was lying on one angle and somehow lying on the opposite angle has been more than I care to admit), unlucky with ball squirts, me playing poorly, or more likely a combination of all three.

Well, if I made the cut, I put up a way back in the field -46 (60-60-62-60).
Yes, three more exact 60's for me. That makes 11 rounds out of 24 in season two of exactly 60.

Obviously the key is putting. If any of you play my ghosts, I have always played my tee shots at one grid up at 101%. It helps me focus more on my drives. I had one mishit off cone I think all week. The biggest tip I think is figuring out the firmness and roll out of the first hop when your ball hits the green. This week had soft greens which is huge knowing that even with a front pin only 5 paces on that a short iron has that the one stop and grab to keep it close without having to have the precision to land it on the first yard of the putting surface. When I see my PW spin back a yard on a flat green, no wind I know its going to be a field day for us haha. With your lob shots between say 25-40 yards you really have to be mindful of the backspin. Take into account the launch angle and crosswind to determine how hard the ball lands and rolls out giving you an uphill flat birdie look is key. Try not to be above the hole or short right on #15. It's deceptively quick.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to get the download for the new themes and courses, so I've been unable to play lately. Really sucks.

Took my first real crack in practice on this course, using a bit of Tyler's advice, tho i still hit short right on #15 LOL. Managed -17 with 16 15 birdies one eagle and two pars. 19 putts. If only I can string 4 rounds like that together

So I played my rounds. They were interesting to say the least. Started off well but putts weren't dropping here and there and round one ended with a disappointing -13. Round two started off better and I was actually -10 through 11 with two eagles but could only finish at -13. EESH.
Round three started once again great. I even got a hole in one on #12, two bounces and in. I checked the replay and it went in so I saved the shot to come back and record later. After the round I quit out of the tourney (after hitting the first shot) and looked up the replay and found what is shown in the video below. The ball came up woefully short and didn't even make it to the green??? Not sure how a replay of a hole in one could be SO vastly different and have submitted it to HB.
That being said scored a -14 and was feeling well. Unfortunately after that weirdness with the replay things got even more weird. I hit a few tee shots and the wind didn't seem to matching up with what I was seeing on the meter. I even brought up BOOMBOOM's ghost and sure enough he was outdriving me by 30 yards on a couple shots. It straightened out by the 5th hole but wow. At this point i was so out of phase and could only come back with a -11 to finish at -51.
I felt good most of the rounds, just missed too many putts and the had that weirdness at the end. If i was in contention I'd probably be pissed but anyway here is my replay of my hole in one.. I swear it did go in.. really.
