How does the ranking work for the money lists for each flight?
I spent last week in CC-C on failed excemption but doesnt look like the money earnt from that round is added to my total in CC-D
However it means i have plumetted down the money list in CC-D since i came back and i am way at the bottom on CC-C I know its all just a bit of fun... but this approach doesnt seem to make sense... it penalises the people that have been on exemption Also i guess if you get a permanent promotion the money from lower tour is not brought up with you putting you at the bottom of your new flight maybe this all evens out over the season... i am not complaining just asking for info... cheers
If there was a master leaderboard for CC flights then i suppose that would be the one to look at...

Yeah it would be better if there was a master leaderboard for the money list in my opinion.

I was just saying the same thing in another thread. Im spending one week in C and one week in D. Im finishing top 10 in D almost every week but no where close to top 25 in C. So its like im getting punished every other week and not getting any virtual cash for getting crushed in C. Id rather stay at D all year and have a shot at the playoffs at the end of the year.

I think I have how the money is calculated for the CC tiers.
Basically it is using the old points system that was in place last season, but what was one point last year is now $10.
So 1 pt = $10
This is from the info and policies page, and its a thorough formula of how the points were calculated:
Challenge Circuit Points Distribution
All Challenge Circuit scores (all flights) will go on a (hidden) master leaderboard from which you will be assigned your base point number (via reverse ranking). From there your base point number will go through a flight multiplier. The resulting number will then be subject to a placement bonus on your flight - this final calculation will determine how many points you receive for that event.
Flight Multipliers:
CC-A 100% CC-B 95% CC-C 90% CC-D 85% CC-E 80% CC-Z 50%
Finishing Position Bonuses:
1st 10% 2nd 7% 3rd 5% 4th 3% 5th-10th 2% 11th-25th 1%
Examples:
Player A Field size: 950 Flight: CC-A Finish: 35th on CC-A, 39th on master leaderboard Base Point number: 911 Flight Multiplier: 100% Position Bonus: N/A 911 * 1=911 points
Player B Field size: 950 Flight: CC-B Finish: 5th on CC-B, 50th on master leaderboard Base Point number: 900 Flight Multiplier: 95% Position Bonus: 2% 900 * .95 * 1.02=872.10 points
Player C Field size: 950 Flight: CC-Z Finish: 1st on CC-Z, 655th on master leaderboard Base Point number: 295 Flight Multiplier: 50% Position Bonus: 10% 295 * .5 * 1.1=162.25 points

So is finishing 35th at C comparable to finishing top 10 at D?
Also will the playoffs be determined by overall money? Or tour by tour? Will each teir have its own playoff?

So is finishing 35th at C comparable to finishing top 10 at D? It's really based on what you shoot. Let's say they both shoot the same score (35th in C and 10th in D). D player will get a 2% bonus for finishing Top-10 D player will get 85% of his base money C player will get 90% of his base money So while they shot the same and finished the same on the master leaderboard - the player in CC-C would earn approx 3% more money. The system is set up to encourage everyone to shoot their best 4 rounds as you can pass people on the master list right up until the 18th hole of the last round to earn more base money. The playoff system will include all CC players. Web.com cards will be handed out based on a master money list. So the further you are from CC-A the harder it will be to jump to the Web.com Tour at the end of the season

Makes sense. Thanks for taking the time to explain that.
