Exactly, plus those of us that are often around the cut-line have no idea how many more people are going to play. When I played my 2 rounds on Sunday evening there were only about 95 players in the tournament, its now up to 111. If you don't register in time then it should be tough luck.

Not sure if I can see quite how that benefits anybody in any way. I'm guessing they still need to submit rounds one and two by the Thursday deadline?

They get a good idea of what the qualifying score is gonna be and if they don't hit that target they don't register for the tournament, means they don't get a strike against them for demotion down to the web com tour.

There is no demotions to Web.com outside of voluntarily requesting it from the staff or not qualifying during the Web.com Finals at the end of the season. This topic (up until Thursday night for the late registrations) was brought up elsewhere. I thought moving the late registration deadline to Tuesday night at 11:59:59 PM EST was a decent compromise. That way, the most anyone can see is one round of scores on the site.

That was 2 hours of complete misery. Possibly the worst that I have ever putted? I didn't play my best from tee to green either. I think that the course is good, but the speed is wrong for the design IMO, they are far too slow. Countless times I ended up sticking on red and yellow slopes, one time on the top of the smallest upturned bowl, a place where if you had 50 tries it wouldn't stay there. So many times I had a double breaking putt that only took one of the breaks? it became guesswork after a while and I guessed poorly. I didn't make anything for four rounds, it was soul destroying. This is a course that you absolutely have to know well to score well as the breaks are more memory than intuition. I guess that I just didn't practice enough this week to anywhere near contend. Too much time playing GTA till 4 and 5 in the morning with a buddy this week. I've just got fallout and I've even dusted off my 360 to play the new tomb raider It could be a run of results like this for me as those games will be taking up most of my time. I think I shot 66,61,62,63 for a -32 finish, absolutely the worst score that i could have shot, just hoping for a top twenty five now. Good luck to everybody yet to play or finish I'm off to get up to no good on GTA V Now you know what it feels like to make nothing! ....except i never make anything ever lol It even makes me miss cuts which i shouldn't be doing.

Didn't realise it was Tuesday for late registrations so apologies for that, but I still think we have plenty of time to register for events.

Tuesday would seem fair to me but I swear an extra player was added to the field between when I checked this morning and when I got back from work this evening.
I guess I'll just have to get better at the game then any late players added won't affect whether or not I make the cut.

There is a DQ/WD rule on the Pro tours where I believe if you get two in a row, you cannot play the next week, but I am not sure the nuances of that rule. The late registration is still until Thursday night. I was merely putting out a suggestion that Tuesday seems a nicer compromise. Sorry to confuse you, good sir.

I was only suggesting a Tuesday deadline for the late registrations, Thursday night is the current rule in place. Again, sorry for confusion.

Doesn't seem right allowing registration that late as its opening it to abuse

Just seen that the field is up 1 more to 111 players rather than 110 as it was earlier in the day. Doesn't seem fair to me that people can register so late in the day, you can play your rounds and then only bother entering if you score well enough to make the cut. I don't think that's right either, see how you scored that week then register for the tournament if you have good enough scores to make the cut. Yeah - not in the spirit of golf for sure. But the old system was an admiistrative nightmare, so it was a purely pragmatic decision. I still wish that the start time of first round could be pulled from the API and compared to the registration time. If registering after playing then registration should not be valid.

Not liking this wind patch. This is my course, and I never would've imagined people goinďg this low. Even in my practice rounds after designing it, I never broke 60 because the winds were almost always up. When they're dead like this, it takes away half of the defense I planned for on the course. Oh well, hope you guys are enjoying it. I opened up with an out of my mind 56 and ended up finishing at -46. Played really well but I know the bounces a little better around here than most. Good luck to all. For the reason u stayed there designers should not be able to play a course they made themselves as it give a clear advantage. When designing the course i am sure you hit shot after shot in no wind to see if the holes were playable. Not your fault but definetly a clear advantage. I am on the pga this week before someone says in moaning because u shot well. Tom if moaning was an Olympic sport you'd have a whole host of gold medals.. Wah Wah Wah!!! enough to give Mr Redgrave a run for his money My own presence or lack there of on tgc forums lately could be interpreted as my Imitation of one Mr Moany Mourinho In the media circles hence why I'm here now.. Avoiding a fine.. Not for the first time Thomas u and I disagree.. If anything there's more pressure on a course designer playin on his own course in a tourney..yes he's got it well practiced but then again others have the opportunity to practice it no end leading up to the event. It's like saying 'Bobby Jones designed a heavenly course in Augusta, let's reward him by disallowing him from entering the masters' wouldn't have seemed fair would it Mr Humphreys.. My point should you choose to accept it is... Once again your wrong!! good luck in the upcoming tourneys all..

I'm certainly looking forward to playing my own course on the Euro Tour next week. Just hope I don't miss the cut!
