I played like crap.. Seemed like every hole was 5 miles long and the greens were as big as football fields.. I could not get much close to the pin.. Beautiful course though..

I'm up on exemption this week though I'm not sure I will be staying (Oh well...). Course is deceivingly difficult, realllly long is some places; the 1st hole in round two is utterly terrfying with that wind in your face! Monster par 5's, lots of slopey (HUGE) greens to roll back off and not a lot of straight putts. Fought through well on Rd's 1 and 2 but then failed horribly on the last two compared to what I thought I was going for (I did feel the pin placements were more perilous on the last 36). Mixed feelings overall, though back to CC-D next week I think. 62 (-10) 63 (-9) 65 (-7) 66 (-6) Total: 256 (-32) Good luck everybody, hope the putter is hot .

Yeah it was a tougher track this week, though I like that. It's almost harder to get a great result when the winners are posting -10/-12 every round!
That said I pulled together a -31 despite battling a crazy hook for almost all of my rounds. I always play slightly right to left but I had so many of line swings it made things a total battle. My final round was in danger of falling apart, I bogied and doubled two of the par 5's but pulled it round by holing out on the long par 4 16th with a 5 wood and birded the last to escape with 65.

Well ... I agree scoring can go south on this course fast! Having missed a sponser excemption by 1 shot the last 3 events .. One might think I could predict with accuracy the top ten score.. Cut for this event " my score minus one shot". ! Lol
Having said that, could this be the week I finally get a sponsor deal. !!
I'm tied 9th almost at day's end round 1 . Now using my handy dandy prediction calculator: which seams to me pretty accurate .. Take 8th place score n times by four. In this case -8 x4 = -32 under for the event.
Ok now bear that number in mind! ARE U READY FIR THIS ! I SHOT TOTAL - 31 under ! ... and guess what ?! That's again one shot off of the top ten. ARE U KIDDING ME. ! Am I really gonna miss top ten by one measly shot 3 weeks running! ?
I can only hope that the steep decline in scores from top to bottom of this leaderboard signals a chance to end this curse of missing sponser excemption by 1 shot! All I want is a shot at the big leagues !! Lol
Interestingly also! Had the sponsor excemption rule not been changed at start of this season.. This would have been my progression: Week 1. Sponser excemption to cc-b Week 2. Promotion earned and can stay in cc-b Week 3 Sponser excemption earned to play in cc-A Week 4. I'm pretty sure that -31 would earn the promotion and keep me in cc-a!
So there u have it , due to the sponsor excemption changes .. I am still in cc-c repeatedly missing top ten years 1 shot, When under old rules I'd be in cc-a by now! Grrrrrrrr
DOYLEY... One day when I get to the PGA tour. (Probably on XBOX2 ) and a "the golf club 2". ). ... When that day comes. ! If you find a ghost ball keeps trying to knock your golf avatar over! Then u know .. Who it is!!!! Lol
One word -- BRUTAL! But u gotta love it! This game makes my palms sweat!

I hacked and whacked in my 2nd round. I couldn't get anything going and really battled the winds even though they weren't particularily high in the 2nd round. I saw myself sitting 6 over after 8 holes and was raging. I was able to battle back over the next 10 holes and went 4 under the rest of the way..but that +2 74 is an eyesore on my totals. Had I hit another mid 60's round I'd be sitting OK. I don't think my -18 is gonna erase the debacle of my self induced DQ last week( I would have finished in the top 30 last week BTW)..and I doubt it's even gonna get me a top 70 in CC-D. I'll call it a speed bump and carry on.

Finished my first round at -10. It was a real up and down round. Front 9 I missed a pretty straight 10 foot putt and a 3 foot putt (on a slope to be fair). My head was dropping until I hit 7 birdies on the trot and one putt was brilliant (for me anyway - 24 foot, +5inch with a hill in the way...had to aim well right).
One bogie where I found sand from a drive, then my bunker shot went about 20 yards meaning I had a 210 yard 3rd shot to the pin. Was pleased to get away with bogie on that hole!
I did practice the pin 2 positions over the weekend and my scores were a lot lower than the first two rounds pin position so I'd expect the scores to drop (although I may just be pants lol).

These are the courses in which I wish there was a cut-line or a withdraw option so I don't have to deal with this course for 4 rounds...Enjoy this game like no other, but the putting is too inconsistent.

Lol Yes, I'm hoping m,y fellow Ulsterman Caparrius gets his CC-C card, I've noticed him posting well for a while now. More and more I think about it Q School is going to be the way a lot of us get out of CC-C right now, I'd have comfortably earned my card to CC-B last week if I'd have got an exemption! This week I'll be happy just to see where the chips fall!

2nd round was tough with that wind. Dead happy with a -8 after a tough front 9.
-18 after two rounds.

Thanks man, I have noticed you going really well in the past couple of weeks as well, wasn't sure why you didn't get your CC-B the other week!. My game has upped considerably since I actually decided to learn to putt, though i'm still a little inconsistent overall; some days I feel like I cant hit it straight and some days I feel like I cant hit it wrong at all. I usually have a good first two rounds but just cant keep the pace up :L

Yes- lets just pray 31 gets us all out of cc-c. It's like "the great escape!" Lol I reckon q-school will be easier! If only I had known.. I'd have taken that a lot more serious first time around lol!

Up here on exemption from D and doing quite well! -30 thru three rounds. Another round in the 10-12 under range should at least get me a C card? Lets hope!
